Hey, for some reason I make a new troops, set it so that Swadian recruit has a tree for it, save it, and update it, and recompile, etc. But it won't work

I Dont know how to add a new troops for MY OWN FACTION ( when i take a castle and be a king with right to rule 60 )

I mean the village under my kingdom will have the troops i created.

I ve try to add one. But it wont work.

Here is what i try to create a new troops without Upgrade path.

You can't dircetly add troops at player faction. You can use upgrade paths at the kingom factions to create your own troops trees. So the AI is able to use reinforcements which have the new upgrade paths. This should also work with that troops at your kingdom...

Normally they use randomly all things in their inventory. if theres a Blunt weapon it shouldbe used by the troops. Check also the "guarantee flags"...

I Still Dont understand what you saying. Can you show me a tutorial to Create a new troops for my own faction please.
 
LashYu. You can't create the armies by means of this program.

Is it possible to put "knock down" on a pair of gauntlets? If it do that will I knock people down with I punch them? will it affect the weapon I'm using ? Or will it do nothing at all?

Also, I just changed some boots to add more armor rating and I increased the strength requirements to wear them. Despite them being superior to the boots my companions are wearing the companions would rather wear lesser boots. In fact, the companions will take them off even if there are no other boots to choose from.

I noticed something similar with a war hammer.

The only thing I can think of that both have in common is the strength requirement to use both. It's 50. If I lower the requirement will it fix this? Or maybe they are choosing based on value of the item?

Edit: I changed the prices and the requirements but they still unequip the items and would rather wear nothing.  Not sure what I did wrong here.  Any ideas?
 
Please answer this in detail I'm new.

I'm editing units through Floris 2.54; however the items don't show up in game.

Module Directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Floris Gameplay Mod Pack 2.54\

I changed the items for units, updated, saved, and than exited Morgh's editor. (All the stats and boxed that need to be checked are.) I start new game, and I go to recruit unit. The units don't have items I assigned. Please help me.
 
I created some new troops for my own kingdom but it hadn't occurred to me until I started the game that the AI could also use the troops I created. I'm assuming this is because I created it as an offshoot from Swadian Recruits.

Is there a method to prevent the AI using the troops?
 
I'm just curious - why it always changes the face of start-quest merchant? :lol:
No matter what I edit in troops.txt - it always automatically edit his face.
It's nothing of importance, I'm just worried that it can mess up a face of someone more major, like a monarch or companion.

The troop's got the tf_randomize_face flag, remove it.

And yes, I know you're using the text files. Still better knowing the code that's causing it.
 
Welcome to the group of people who've seen the allmighty FUGLY default face.
In order to fix this, make sure you've got Edit mode enabled, go to your own face modification in the skills screen, then design the face you'd like your merchant to have. Hitting CTRL+E (IIRC) will make a box pop up with the face code in it, copy that (by clicking on the box) and replace man_face_middle with it in the troop's definition. As the troop is a hero without a tf_randomize_face flag, it will look only at the first face code specified in its definition and will use it for the troop's face.
 
Lumos, I just thought if merchants already had pre-made faces then it is possible to get those facecodes somewhere.
But when you check their codes in editor - it always the same default ugliness. Can't understand how it worked in the first place - still so much to poke around :lol:

Hey guys, is it possible to add troops to your company with this?  So that you start the game with a group of soldiers already.
