Inspired primarily by D.Philostrate in 2021, I supplemented his research with some information pertinent to the primitive tribes that inhabited Calradia around 750 BE.
It is worth noting that the names of the tribes are highlighted on the map, varying between three different colors. White is used for tribes whose existence and location have been directly confirmed by Mount & Blade NPCs (Warband and/or Bannerlord) or the game's official encyclopedia. In yellow are possible tribes mentioned in the game files, however, there is no in-game evidence that they really existed. Finally, I reserved the red color for purely speculative tribes, learn more below.
Battanians •
The most enduring ancient tribe of Calradia, witness to many historical events that took place on the continent. Unable to evolve industrially, the Battanians slowly disappeared into the forests of Calradia.
Dissolution: c. 1150
Massa •
Their exact location is uncertain, but it is known that they were close to the Empire, Battania, and the Vlandians. At some point in history, the Massa allied with the Vlandians against the Battanians.
Dissolution: After 950
Palaics •
They inhabited almost the entire Perassic region and built many city-states throughout the continent's history, but their culture and language were almost completely assimilated by the Empire. They were the founders of many city-states such as Amitatys, Phycaon, Onira and Zeonica. All eventually surrendered to the Empire.
Dissolution: c. 0 BE
Dryatic Palaics •
They share many ties with the Palaics who inhabit the Perassic region, but have held to the old customs much longer due to their isolation in the Dryatic Mountains. They were the founders of Saneopa and a city that would later become Diathma in the hands of the empire.
Dissolution: c. 100 BE
Kannics •
An extremely developed people, founders of Quyaz, a trade-oriented city-state that prospered for centuries as a republic, centuries before the Calradic Republic. They had their own religion and language, but were eventually destroyed by the Empire. At some point in history, Kannic merchants founded the city of Razih, but they were quickly conquered.
Dissolution: c. 150 BE
Jalmari •
One of the first tribes conquered by the then Calradic Republic, the city of Jalmarys, built at first as a fortress, would become the stage for many Jalmari to be assimilated into the Calradic culture.
Dissolution: c. 400 BE
Laconians •
They lived on the shores of Lake Laconis, founded the cities of Argoron and Amprela, which they ruled until the Empire annexed them.
Dissolution: c. 50 BE
Vakken •
They lived in the frigid climate of northern Calradia for a long time, trading furs and sometimes plundering lands to the south. Their fate was uncertain, they may have been merged or assimilated into what would eventually become the Sturgians.
Dissolution: After 750
Vanni •
Neighbors of the Vakken who out of necessity allied occasionally to fight Norse invaders.
Dissolution: After 750
Calradoi •
The people led by Calradios the Great, initially a monarchy, then converted to a republic, then became an Empire.
Dissolution: N/A
Iltanlar •
The Iltanlar were the mountain-dwelling cousins of the plains-dwelling Khuzait tribes. They built Baltakhand centuries before beign conquered by the Khuzait Khanate and regained their independence around 1250s.
Dissolution: N/A
Kohi Rohini •
Another mountain-dwelling tribe that lived in the Kohi Rohini Mountain Range. They founded Odokh centuries before the Empire.
Dissolution: After 350
Nahasi •
Nahasi, Nahasan or Nahasawi where a confederation of tribes that lived in the Nahasa Desert. Possibly they were the people who ruled the Jarjara Escarpment along the Damar River during the era of the Temetian Kingdom. Most of these people were thinned out through the conquests of the Darshi, the Empire and the expansion of the Aserai.

Jawwal •
Confederation of desert nomads who live in the arid territories south of Calradia.
Dissolution: N/A
Lycareans •
An extremely ancient and powerful tribe of Calradia. Many centuries before the Empire, the city-state of Lycaron already wielded power in the region.
Dissolution: c. 100 BE
Ialoi •
Tribe that would later form some beggar kingdoms that briefly preceded the imperial presence. The most notorious was the Empire of Alixenus the Great, which after the death of its founder was fragmented and little by little annexed by the Empire.
Dissolution: After 400
Rhotian •
It is said that Calradios the Great led his tribe north and founded a city on a hill between two rivers. The migration was not peaceful and this was probably the first tribe defeated by the Calradoi in their incessant expansion since their beginnings.
Dissolution: c. 750 BE
Bealos •
It is possible that this was a small tribe that gave rise to the city-state of Myzea (which possibly had another name). When the Empire reached The Myzead, the city was diplomatically annexed.
Dissolution: c. 100
Tanaeitic Iltanlar •
The Lake Tanaensis region has always been fertile and rich, city-states on the eastern side of the lake have existed since before the Empire. The founders of Chaikand and Makeb were possibly cousins of the Iltanlar who inhabited the mountains to the north.
Dissolution: 1044
Tanaeitic Palaic •
In the Tanaeitic Plain, much further south, it is possible that the cities Phycaon and Onira were founded by cousins of the Palaics, who, like the Dryatic Palaics, remained isolated from the Perassic region.

Kuqan •
Possibly the oldest city in Calradia is Kuqa, near the Jabal Ashabi Mountains. Many, many centuries before the Empire, the city of Kuqa had expanded and waged war against the Lycareans, who eventually won and destroyed the city. However, the city of Kuqa would still be reinhabited years later. It is known that the Kannics already colonized the region at some point in history (Razih), but it is difficult to know if their presence in the region is as old as the stories of Kuqa, which could refer to a specific tribe.
