The chance is way too low for mission battles, in mission battles the chances should increases based on how many damage vs. health and was part of their body was hitted.(Head shots should always kill, you can not survive a head shot, only with very good surgeon)Lords and Companion Deaths are possible, but much rarer then before. I think it's at a good level at the moment in terms of the % chance. What I saw in a 400 day campaign was around 8 noble deaths.
Agreed, I also suggested that death chance for auto-calculation and mission battles should be separated, with mission battle chance being higher than simulated battles. 2% is ridiculously low. @Dejan does the team have any plans to revise the death chance somehow? The chance is way too low for mission battles, in mission battles the chances should increases based on how many damage vs. health and was part of their body was hitted.(Head shots should always kill, you can not survive a head shot, only with very good surgeon)
I have hitted lord with damage double their health in the face, they survive, in the real world he would be dead.
After the initial introduction of simulation battle death with a 2% chance (which results in 5-15 deaths per year), we received a range of community feedback denoting that it was too high. After some deliberation, we agreed and adjusted the rate to a level of 2-5 deaths per year on average. Naturally, we continue to review the relevant feedback and may make further balance changes.Agreed, I also suggested that death chance for auto-calculation and mission battles should be separated, with mission battle chance being higher than simulated battles. 2% is ridiculously low. @Dejan does the team have any plans to revise the death chance somehow?
I've also noticed many nobles over 68 years old in my current run. That's strange, considering their surgeon skill is not too high.
And now I know, why I can not finish the battanians. After the initial introduction of simulation battle death with a 2% chance (which results in 5-15 deaths per year), we received a range of community feedback denoting that it was too high. So, basically, the current death rate is even lower than 2%, right? After some deliberation, we agreed and adjusted the rate to a level of 2-5 deaths per year on average.
Have to disagree with that. Before those changes, mentioned above by Dejan, you had a small chance to destroy the whole army with a single kill of its leader. Besides, deaths prevented lords from gathering doomstacks with 2-3k soldiers. Right now, when almost everyone dies only from old age, lord deaths look more like the ability to sit on any chair - it is there but what's the purpose?I think death rates are actually in a good place now right . Lords shouldn't be dying left and right - they aren't peons. They are high valued captives worth a lot of silver if taken alive. In my current play through I've lost 1 wife and 3 companions in an 8 year span in addition to slaying 4 lords in battles that I was a part of. Lords in other conflicts have also died. It's not a lot but neither is it a little. It feels like they hit the sweet spot when it comes to NPC deaths.
