Lords not bringing fiefs with them after being persuaded to join player kingdom?

So after going through the process of persuading lords to join my kingdom, i got quite a few luckily, but NONE of them brought their fiefs with them. Is this a bug or a feature? Do honorable lords not bring fiefs with them? Interestingly, the game sees my kingdom as a "rebel" faction, and the noble clans who joined me are "supporting me in a civil war." This is cool, but I really hope its just not implemented completely yet, or a bug, because otherwise rebelling is pointless if lords defect without bringing their fiefs. Either way, I want to know if I'm alone in this or not.
