Here is war / peace decleration data from 1.6.1 (I think 1.6.0 should be similar too) @Blood Gryphon if you want you can analsysis this data. I do not expect big difference from latest analsysis maybe mean war length can be a bit longer like 36-38 days (latest was 32).
 
@mexxico peace for vassal looks good, I def agree that steps 1-2 may not be necessary unless its needed due to code reasons. I think even if everytime the vote is 100% supported, the potential new addition of being able to shift support will be a great remedy. Regardless I think most players will be okay with finally letting the AI make peace with the kingdom they are a vassal for, I know that it will extend the time I'm willing to be a vassal.

Also thanks for the data (y) , although I probably wont be able to mess with it until next week due to traveling during this holiday weekend (in US).

Yeah Mexico's the man no doubt about it but its kinda insane that the game is being fixed via the forums and forumites...like whats Armagon saying about that? If my company id take a good hard look in the mirror and concede the game needs more financing ,and better design from someone with strong vision and the power to vote important features in without needing to get approval from a committee.

Honestly im glad yall are fixing the math that causes snowballing but many of us (im assuming but speaking for myself) dont even play that far into the game because though the math may be there- the game needs a prettier way to get information thru to the player. Immersion that is. Quality telling and interesting UI and character conversation. Math aint enough.
 
This latest addition to voteing will def counter the player being the snowball of a winning faction, but war on many fronts and no peace.
And or not tank the fun with the constant wars going on.
 
Reason for why steps 1-2 is needed is to inform player about this peace offer is coming from opponent. Otherwise in current state of code this new voting will have king as supporter and we have no information shown at voting screen about this offer is coming from opponent. If we can insert something in voting screen about this offer is coming from opponent then steps 1-2 can be useless but for now this will need some more changes at code part so to inform player about situation steps 1-2 are needed for now.

Yes this feature will be at 1.6.1, I was not sure about 1.6.1 or 1.6.2 thats why I corrected one of Stan's videos by posting comment. He first said this feature will be ready at 1.6.1 at video's headline then I posted comment about it's not guarenteed and this feature will be ready at 1.6.2 but at latest situation this feature will be added at 1.6.1 because of it seems releasing 1.6.1 will take some more time.

However as you said it is just cosmetic has no effect on gameplay. Anyway still it will make game a bit more living of course. You can see how it will seen at UI in above screenshots placed for peace offer from opponent.

It is accepted and will be added for player is king scenario. I also wanted to see this in player is vassal scenario but I accept it can be a bit weird. Still I prefer to add it even player is vassal with high decline influence cost. So if player is vassal still opponent faction will not initiate peace - our kingdom will have to make inside voting.

In the future this feature can be changed and opposite side offer can go a secondary voting inside our kingdom for both player is king and vassal scenarios. We will add first this feature as we talk above.

I will try to make this feature is merged to 1.6.1 (it's tests started maybe i can't)

I have been away for some time and it is great to see new nice features which will improve immersion. While this is a small change, it is actually pretty welcome and necessary.

I have a question about the "player is king" scenario that was described in the google doc, @mexxico. What happens if you never click on the notification that the other faction wants to make peace? Will it automatically make peace after two days (like regular war/peace votes) using the enemy's offer, or will it just never resolve itself? I ask because there is an influence cost associated with declining the offer, but nothing is forcing the player to click the notification and choose an outcome, so the influence cost could be avoided by simply dismissing or ignoring the notification indefinitely if it is not automatically accepted after some time.

Yes this was an important problem.

Actually having influence cost for decline offer is not accepted so this problem partly lost its importance. If influence cost was not removed my solution was to pause game and force pop up to appear (like player clicked) (only if player did not open it for 24 hours). Now this is not needed. If player do not open notification at given time period (24 hours) he will lose opportunity of checking offer.

If player is not king and if he is vassal and he do not open notification pop up we can directly start peace voting when 24 hour time period is past.

Please keep in mind that I am a Python noob and maybe there is a bug in my script. I have just calculated war length duration and it is 34,9. I have not excluded negotiation wars from the list, so the average war length duration will be probably better when Blood makes his calculations.

I know that is it not as good as what we get from @Blood Gryphon, but I have just made this script for me, and I want to share the information I have got with forum mates.

Keep in mind that I am taking into account the 4 initial wars, so this is the reason because wars numbers is the same than declarations, while there still were some wars ongoing. I have also to fix that my script is messing up the wars order when mixing two dictionaries, so the war list is not sorted keeping in mind the declarations date :p .
 
Thank you @Dabos37 . Yes average war duration is about 35 days (about 2 season / half year) currently. It can be better if we can make it about 3-4 seasons.

Also average wars per moment is about 3.

Yes, even 50 days average would be great IMO, and it is probably doable without hurting much the snowballing score. Anyway, every improvement on this is welcome. Thanks for working on this.

Ok finally processed it. As mex said there really isn't a big difference in war length. I think one of the most interesting things in this data is the kingdom win percent. Take from it what you will, but always remember this is just one game worth of data for each patch and without player involvement so no guarantee for what the player experiences.
