F7 retreat need rework

AI pick location retreat so bad! for some battlefield (line or near), they run straight to opponent! I lost one companion "die in battle" to some looter because he doesnt know where to go??? Super frustration! just some simple code calculator distance, i dont know why F4 can work but F7 not

that companion have stat like a minor lord! 120 cal 100 tactic 80 leader 80 scout 120 150 100 (one hand/polearm/throwing). do you know much lucky i found he at early game
