SP - General Ditches Anyone?

Ditches would add so much variance to sieges. Besides attacking right after making camp with ladders that are already magically at the walls is kinda cheap. To save yourself the effort you could just code in an event or player action that will take time to overcome such obstacle, transforming castle mesh 1 to castle mesh 2: under siege. But hey, what do I know about game development. Who cares about history anyways?
