Well, nay-saying notwithstanding, a big step, so congrats guys.

I don't do multi-player, so a bit sad no single-player beta, but that's ok...knowing it's finally getting closer is still great. Looks like I will get to play it before I die after all. (I'm old.)

Any idea how long it will be in beta? (Yeah, I'm not really expecting an answer to that. )

Work hard guys, we're all waiting for you. I usually never pre-order games, but for you, I will make an exception...

This is great news! Thank you so much TaleWorlds! I wish you good luck in the development of the game. Also congratulations to the guys from Unity, they deserve to participate in the beta. We have repeatedly fought with them in clan battles, and they are excellent fighters.

"missing some features right now relating to late-game mechanics" and then in this blog "The game is far from feature and content complete".

I don't know. Maybe they don't want to create too much hype unless something goes wrong.

Whatever happens, at least the blogs will get more interesting and we will get to see a lot more content when gamescom arrives.

But yes,

some clarification from Callum is in order for the "far from done" comment, since TW perspective on time is a little warped  i.e. We had the harvesting season comment many blogs ago and we've had 'final stage/polishing' comments since 2016.

F*&K YEAH!!!

Its happening!!

Good luck with beta, may it be as successful and advantageous as possible.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I don't know wether to think that the release it's actually close or we'll have to wait another year and a half or so, the two statements on the blog are quite contradicting... Anyway, have fun with the beta! Looking forward to trying it!

Every game ships with bugs in developer blind spots. The whole point of any Beta is to shine light into dark corners. TW will be confident that there won’t be any game-breakers, but can’t predict the timescale to fix problems until they’re identified. Hopefully, their friends and family will kill most of them to ease the administration and experience of a subsequent open Beta.
While I’ve never played MP, I welcome the progress and wish all participants good luck in their endeavours to improve and stabilise the gameplay for all of us.

So i deduct that it's not coming this year. Considering that i am not going to get an invite, i am disappointed. But i respect the work you put on the game, keep up guys.

Huh...

It is true that the statement shines incandescently because of its high level of controversy. Having said that and with the foil hat on the head, can that statement be strictly linked to the MP nature of the game and not to "the game" itself?

An official clarification would also be welcome... :iamamoron:

If you are looking for dedicated Beta tester ....well...there is me
(i almost never post on this forum but im posting this hoping that TaleWorlds will see this massage and send me a beta key thinking im a active menber of the community while in fact, im not really)

I don't know. Maybe they don't want to create too much hype unless something goes wrong.

Missing late game mechanics could include:

End of game cut scenes:
A. Crowning the all-conquering emperor.
B. Return of the King style resting in state of the last great emperor, RIP.
C. The all-conquering emperor smothered with a pillow by his/her impatient heir.

Wipe the slate clean mechanics where the player has conquered too much territory:
A. Massive and brutal Nord invasion to devastate player progress and add back game challenge.
B. Fundamentalist religious revolts across the board threatening the player’s secular leadership/rule.
C. Civil war where half the player’s family, trusted companions, towns and troops defect and turn against him/her led by his/her best friend, heir or wife.

Any other suggestions?
