We have been reading comments and feedback and we noticed that quite a few people are interested in seeing some of the different screens and deeper parts of the game that are visible in the videos that are coming out from our guests at the booth. So with that in mind, for this week’s blog we thought we could show the character screen and explain the different elements of that and how character development works in Bannerlord.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/74

So why is there both steward and riding skills? Looks almost like twice the same
It's icon is not among the agility based skills. This one is probably the property managing/tax efficient kind of steward.

- What is the Max Level of the Skills like I believe in Warband it was 600.
The Max level in Warband is 61 with a single XP point away from 62. However, if you do that you will bug out your game. Causing it to spike to (I think 1024) which causes giant bandit parties to appear. However, after level 40 the xp needed to level increases dramatically. For level 61 you need 644045999 experience, which equals to killing around 2.236.271 swadian knights.

I am not sure what the max level for Bannerlord would be. However, I hope they make it a bit easier to get higher levels than 40. I would like to have level 100 as a max with Lords and kings nearing level 60 - 80.

Hi Guys!
I have watched latest gameplay and l noticed that there is no forest on the battlefield when battle is initiated in forest on campaing map. Same thing in mountains. No mountains on the battlefield when battle initiated in mountains on campaing map. I saw such a thing in earlier gameplay aswell - skirmish in a forest, initiated at sandy/rocky desserd on campaing map. Is it work in progress or something missed up? (Sorry for my english)

I think Armagan bey said there will be limited scenes for fights as well, similar to cities and villages. for demo*

This is getting more and more exciting. It's starting to become heavy torture though. I really need to stop following those news.

Take your time to polish the game TaleWorlds! I love and support your approach.

really love what has been done to the m&b so far except for the 0 focus means you never learn anything from that skill, that to me at least seem very weird and wrong, i would be fine with a minimal amount of xp gained for the skill, but not with no xp...

I hope You're right, Humman. There will be no battle strategy if it works like this. Thx 4 reply

Kind of agree honestly. I posted a comment a few days ago based on the misconception that this wasn't the case. (Skimmed through the blog. Totally my fault) but I would honestly prefer it if we didn't have to unlock every skill with focus points. Maybe some of the less intuitive skills like surgeon or tracking it makes sense but for things your character does everyday, like riding a horse fighting or trading I think progression should be automatic with focus points only serving to increase the speed at which you upgrade.

Long time M&B:er but rare poster here.

Must express how I don't get some of the luke warm or downright negative comments on the gamescom content.

I'm seeing core M&B with great graphics, animations, varied combat, huge cities, hitboxes, etc. One of the demo players uploading content show a scene where he nails an attacker with a javelin in the chest. I've never been a throwing weapon-guy, but how the target jolted back and collapsed to the ground was just brilliantly pulled of in my opinon. So smooth and brutal. Add more depth in tactics and formations, the skill system, dialouge, campaign map size, new varied siege options etc, plus things we haven't seen yet, and I'm excited for sure.

Now of course the delay of the game and non transparent communication about that has been frustrating. But let's distinguish between that and the quality level of what has been shown of the game.

Something I like in Warband is the simplicity of the character sheet. The new one, with focus and perks will had complexity. But why not.
Another thing I like is that the character sheet was the same for all (player, companions, Kings or peasants). I find it fair.
So I was wondering : will all people in Bannerlord will have the same (more complex) character sheet as us ? Otherwise the Player would have an advantage over everyone else. And that's not fair (and not necessary).

It's confirmed that companions have access to the same skills and perks as the player. No reason to believe AI lords or generic troops are different.

I prefer "facts" as "believings"

For those interested in the perks and other datas available in the demo, a player at Gamescon has recorded a test where he shows all the informations you can get :

Thank you, LeChat, for this video. Gave up searching for something by myself, great that you posted it.

Now, it will be even harder to wait for the release.

Have a nice day...

Seems there be No Levels anymore, you only get better Skills when you actually using the Skill like one hand combat or trading by selling stuff and actually making some profit:

Look under the name of each character. Alijin has 5-th level and Alagur 14-th.

And conclusion: what's the difference between Tactics skill and Strategy?
And is it possible to skip some perks, to save points for other perks?
