I like the Battanian armour and the Aserai armour, altho the Aserai helmet it seems a little bit to big. I've also seen that in an older video when you fought the Vlandians, their helmets were kinda big to, maybe if you make them smaller with 5% or 10% it would look better.
I kinda agree with the lads here about that bouncing rock, it doesn't look good.

I like it, I didn't even know there was something wrong with the blocks until I came here , I hope taleworlds ignore these self made castle destruction rock experts and get the game out . If you won't buy because a rock doesn't bounce well then you can go and find yourself an early access medieval single player game to play I bet there are thousands on steam waiting to take your money. I remember last time the complains were about the length of horse legs or something, please leave the devs alone , taleworlds can do whatever they like with the game , don't tell an artist how to make art.

Anyway we need to start hearing more about the campaign, politics and so on , and a video with a every blog would be great . Videos really help the waiting .

Obviously Taleworlds will decide what they will change, add or remove from their game, but I think its a good idea if we the people that will buy and play this game will give our input and state our opinion on things that we think will improve the game, we may be wrong or right, but this is why this forum is here, to talk about it.

Note:I know irrevelant but it just stuck in my mind are the Khuzait and Vlandian horse gears are final job ? Because they are kinda lamer than the other factions.

I agree about the Khuzait and Vlandian heavy horseman. I would like to see the Khuzait with some sort of lamellar and the Vlandians with more chainmail and scale on their heavy horses, I wanted to say some plate to but I think that would not fit very well in the setting of the game. But they really need to do something about the Vlandian heavy horse gear, they are supposed to be the best heavy cavalry in the game and they only have some mail.

I actually did not pay enough attention to the heavy cavalry. You may be right.
There was this review of mine about the harnesses, collars of the light cavalries.
They are, in fact, unique to each faction/culture as well.

https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,374056.0.html

While other factions had very cool harnesses and collars for the horses of light cavalries. Khuzait and Vlandian ones were lame (in my opinion)

Just look at how cool Battanian one looks and they arent even a cav oriented culture:

Sorry for keeping it too long I know it is sth insignificant for most of you but it was kind of a letdown for me so I shared it.

And BTW since you brought it up again, mail, maille, chain mail, chain maille, chainmail and chainmaille are ALL correct,we all knew, but you could look it up and see for yourself. So thats that, now we move on . . .

Yes, but the person in question had written 'chain mail chains' where he meant links. And he asked me to correct in in which I said 'mail links'.
I'm not saying the chainmail part is incorrect, I'm just refusing to use a longer word because someone thought that two words that mean the same thing should be put together.

And before you hit me with the "It's for clarification because of the other armors, such as Scalemail" let me tell you that calling scale armor 'scalemail' is grammatically incorrect. Mail (or chain) refers to a construction in which links interconnect. Scales in a scale armor do not interconnect, they just overlap.

And in the end he asked me, so there's that. I wasn't going to say it otherwise

In fairness, given the Battanians are an amalgamation of Iron Age Celts and Dark Age Welsh/Irish/Breton type cultures light cavalry is an important aspect of their cultures.

A warlords Teulu, or picked men, were usually a mounted, mobile group of men as Kingship, particularly in the earliest part of the Dark Ages, was more a concept of 'I'm in charge of this lot' rather then 'This is my land' so kings and their warriors were highly mobile and often doing things like raiding one another and ranging across large ranges of territory.

Best example to look into is probably the Battle of Jengland between the Franks and the Bretons (who were Romano-British Celts who settled the region as the Saxons expanded in Britain). Essentially the Franks attempted to force their way forward using heavy infantry and cavalry and the Bretons instead sent out javelin-armed light cavalry that avoided engaging in melee unless they were encircling and destroying isolated units.

They did this for 2 days until the Franks skipped off in the night.

So, anyway, while I agree with you that the Khuzaits probably deserve more bling on their horses the Battanians having flashy light cavalry is also inline with their cultural inspiration

I believe he mentioned it because there's really fancy stuff in game (even in Aserai pic it's simple but nicely detailed), while Khuzait horse equipment is pretty basic, almost placeholder-ish, not because it's unfair to have bling on Battanian horses.

This was a short blog but the armors look cool and the castle physics and particle system looks good aswell. Imagine how the modders (neogk) mod introduced the sieges and destroyable walls and how bad these looks compared to this small piece. The towns also sounds way better than the old ones with few houses so at least it will be filled with more peoples.

My question is there will be 3. and 1. person views right?

Second question is there will be kids / childrens in this game? In some mods the modders tried to make smaller models to imitate the childrens but it would be more realistic and nice if the game could contain real childrens too.

For role play part because we supposed to have some kind of family tree system so you can marry to anyone and have your own childrens whom can take our role after our characters dies.

I also would like the wardband time scale where the time pass like that. An option would be nice to have to chance how fast the time pass so we can play longer with out main character.

Yes, im eager for mods to this game after I have 1000 hours of native first too.

For your questions, yes there will be both 1st and 3rd person view, we already got it in warband, and they have multiple(at least 2) times showed us in videos so its confirmed.

There will 99% *not* be children im the base game, and Im happy if thats the case, since I dont think its interesting and doesnt brong much to the game.
But in the other hand, modders will now much more easily be able to do that, since we in the base game have different looking bodies, this will even be possible with horses (baby horse).

For your thind one that links up with the second question, I dont think that will be the case, but something may be will since they have talked about aging.
And again, maybe will be done in mods

Aout the time, they have talked about that.
You can in videos see how much times it takes for 1 day.
There will be 12 weeks per year (so 4x less days than irl and warband) which means 21 days per season if im correct.
I dont think you can change the time in native, but with mods, im sire you can

Thanks for the information Cale. Today I learnt sth thanks to you
I am fascinated by the Battanian light cavalry horses as well.

Now ponies are what Khuzaits are known for and to be honest it was a letdown for me to see their harness undecorated with anything.
Historically steppe people decorated their harnesses with horse tails so I would love to see that in the game as well.
I know it is sth insignificant but I just pointed that out since White lion made me have to.

Thank you for agreeing with me about Khuzaits.

+Do not look here

Yeah exactly if you see my review about horse harnesses I also suspected they did not finish it for the Vlandians and Khuzaits but after I noticed Vlandian one is a bir broader I understood that these are not  placeholders.

Hi TW I have a question! Why we have the siege machines when only a piece of wall can be destroyed and maybe a gate?
What can be destroyed?

I love this game but we need release date ???on PS4

Hi TW I have a question! Why we have the siege machines when only a piece of wall can be destroyed and maybe a gate?

1-Battering ram is used to destroy the first gate.
2-Siege Tower is used to reach to the top of the walls.
3-Ballista and scorpion are used to destroy the enemy ballistas and scorpions. Also to destroy their covers(merlons and wooden buildings) so that archers can be killed easier also you can kill archers with these as well.
4-Trebutchet is used to destroy the walls but it can only be used in campaign map since in medieval times it took a lot of time to destroy a wall with trebutchet.

My question: What advantage does fire ballista has over a normal ballista ?
Can it start a fire ?

the siege machine should attacking the man on the wall and also it support the Battlefield feeling xD
In the middle age it was also demoralizing.

I would assume so, don't know if it is in the main siege attack video as well, but at least in the short video that was a trailer to it you can see siege tower being on fire and breaking down eventually. I also recall seeing battering ram being set on fire, but not too sure about it now.
EDIT: yeah, was wrong about battering ram.

I think the horsemen with the green kite shields are battanians as well, judging by the symbol on their shields.

Hya all, but didn't anyone notice the rock in the first explosion bouncing like a basket ball after hitting the ground?
I did spot that, maybe if it can bounce up and get a headshot on some unsuspecting archer, I'll approve it.

+1

I just noticed sth.

About the overbalancing Stones:
I think they thought it so that those Stones were meant to hit to the bottom of the walls/to the ground.
So when you think it in that way, if those Stones fell all those height from top of the walls to the bottom it makes sense.

Anyways I hope they fix it.

Damn, I should have paid attention to their clothes as well.

Also, I wonder if the stones that fall after damage to the wall  can wound NPCs or the player.

Are those guys really Sturgian cavalry? They look really bad in my opinion, especially the rider. If those really are the Sturgians then I'm going to be very disappointed. Since they are inspired by the Kievan Rus I was expecting something like this:
