Frankly a Feature i've overlooked until yesterday. currently playing on Beta 1.4.2 no mods and a new campaign
Tried to get my wife to upgrade some of my bandit units by having them in her party for a while, but turns out she doesn't have any horses so it wouldn't work. So i tried to trade with her and the moment i put anything in the trade menu, trading ceases to be an option (the button is grayed out). turns out she has 1 cow and 5000 gold but i can't give her anything or take from her anything.
Before i vaguely recall one time accidentally clicking trade with my wife back in 1.4.1 in an older save and it showed that her inventory was the exact same as mine. but this time is different.
