Sorry for necroing this post. But I'm trying to use your parallax shader. I've set up my core_shaders and materials. It works in the game.
But I'm unable to change the spec coeff neither from the material or from the module_postfx. Whatever I try it looks wobbly like the height value is at max.
I've also noticed this in "ps_main_bump": float height = (tex2D(NormalTextureSampler, In.Tex0).r);
In the readme file it says height is blue channel so I thought maybe this was the problem. I tried changing it to blue. However I can't seem to compile your source file.
I'm getting "define high quality shader profile: VS_X (vs_2_a)"
I tried changing all instances of vs_2_a to VS_X in the source.fx file. But that didn't help either.
I'm hopelessly awaiting your answer.
