SP - General Army supplying line

We should be able to link an army to an allied city to create a supplying way. Having parties like caravans but with some men of the army or the garisson carrying food and others supply should be something possible. With a cost in denars, men and time. I think it should be the main thing with armies and the way to avoid any army to run in the middle of an enemy empire and attack the further city of it. Armies have also no need of wood, wool, Tools and all that stuff for sieges, maybe they should, and it would come from the supplying line. Because armies also have way to much carrying capactity considering there are only soldiers in it.
