Alternatives to rescuing kidnapped daughter?

Are there any other quests that are actually reasonably doable and provide a decent amount of gold? Or do I just need to do this quest 9+ plus times until I have enough money to buy a workshop and then enjoy my infinite gold? Getting kind of old starting a new character every single update (read: day) and doing the same quest over and over until I can actually get involved in the game world.

Doing army of poachers is a great way to get gold. You get the quest reward + a stack of leather that sell for quite a bit. Only annoying part is that currently the quest is given with negative time on it so you fail it immediately. Bandit hideouts have great rewards as well but are quite tedious unless you mod out the unit limit.
