Would you think about renaming the leather thorax to "Spolas"? It was the ancient Greek name of the hardened leather cuirass of the timeframe

a hastati tunic reskin. I realized too late I messed a bit with the mesh itself so it probably needs to be re-rigged. (also the mapping is to a native dds sheet..) Might serve as a better placeholder..

Roman shields  (the patterns are from the well known painting. Not sure if EB would approve of it's authenticity, but RTR did ) (the polycount is about 135 and it's the same as the celtic red scutum..)

they are gorgeous

really should add some robust flavor to the Roman lineup.

Nice work Merlkir.
Those skins look especially good since they are not just photographs looking fresh out of the armory, but real "used" armor.
This would also be needed for the celtic shields (and other gear) since they lack this kind of "used" look

And I already thought you could only nag around  , I'm glad I was wrong

the big nagger naga, that's me.  :mrgreen
They look so worn out because they're based on a photo of a real shield corpus and heavily painted over. I'm a bit sick today so the lines aren't very straight...

Iberian Tribes equipment:

1.  Rhomphaias / rhompha
2.  Bronze breastplate (leather "jacket" with a circular plate size bronze disk covering chest)
3. Montefortino helms with facemask variants
4. Bascinet-type bronze helm (the shape of the helm conforms to the head)
Theres one thing lacking on the game and in the requests: the caetra shield, oneof the most used shields by the iberians. Its an little weird to have caetratiis with large ovular scutums instead of the shield that gave them their name. And most cavalry and skirmishers of the iberians used caetra like shields

Poorest of Iberians used javelins without metal point, just sharpened sticks hardeneds with fire. You could ask Chel from the EGII to their bear clan sharpened sticks as they would fit very well in the Yovaman (sp?) levy skirmishers and maybe in other low tier units.
