im ok with spears being clumsy one handed with the shield, but when used 2 handed, the trust should be mega fast and u should add a feign mechanic so u can switch point of attack between the attacks

it doesn't take much effort for spear to switch directions...
Does anyone know what the current plan is for pike and spear bracing in single player?
Will the mechanic look like the multiplayer equal or will there be changes compared to the multiplayer version?
Right now I think that some units, most notably the Vlandian Pikeman, are not really viable...
I've been testing pike bracing and honestly I'm surprised this feature even got past testing stage. It has been implemented terribly. Not only it does not kill a horse charging me full speed, it doesn't even rear the horse. Think about it, even a normal spear hit can rear a horse but a big ass...

Some time ago I have assembled a small team and restarted efforts to create a new version of The Eagle and the Radiant Cross for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.

-> AI-change: "respect of pikes" no one runs into a wall of pikes, horses and troops slow down / change direction
-> 1 line of pike man: lances straight out, high aiming correction for close targets

Obviously, I would personally love to see a system like this implemented, but I'm curious what you all think about something like this?
For realism purposes i think that pikes should be buffed. also being able to do phalanx formations if you have a sufficient amount of spearmen and men with shields. Maybe add it as a perk a skilled tactician could unlock later in the game
