My theories so far on what factions are best for what

So after logging a couple different faction trees and looking at a few incomplete lists that I have, I've come to some conclusions:

Best Marine: England
Best Pikeman: Spain
Best Infantry with shield (only actually): Spain
Best Musketeer: France
Best all around: Buccaneers (French Renegades)

Best Cav? Not sure yet.
Best Dragoon? Not sure yet.

The Dutch, like the Spanish, don't get a 3rd tier musketeer mercenary which leads me to believe, like the Spanish, their strength isn't in muskets.  Since no other faction seems to have great cav, maybe the Dutch do?  Not sure.  Doesn't really match history if true in game.  Granted if we were going by history, Spain would probably have the best cav, pikeman, infantry, and muskets; something that isn't really balanced. 

It is not easy to say which Cavalary isthe best. In stats they differs only in a few points, but I would rank them from best to worst:
1. Dutch Ritter & English Ironside,
2. French Elite Cuirassier (Note: I've seen Veteran Elite Cuirassier with Plate Armor, so maybe this is the best Cav.)
3. Spanish Conquistadar

The Dragoons I would Rank so:

1. Dutch Pistolier
2. Spanish Harquebusier
3. French Dragoon
4. English Dragoon

Please Note that position 1 & 2 are Tier 4 units whereas the last are Tier 3 Units.

I could not compare the equipment of the troops, so Ithink this will be the important part.

Interesting.  It looks like Snowbirds have made the Dutch Cav best as far as stats are concerned.
