Who developed the Quest "Family Feud"? So bad

The easiest fix is to use the leave member button to drop off the companion, and then talk to the quest target npc. You'll always get the right conversation (unless they're wounded and don't show up in the scene)

How did you get to this screen? I can't find any menu that allows me to remove these quest npcs

The other problem with this quest is that it shows up far too often. I was recruiting in Vlandia and 8 villages had the family feud quest active at the same time. Since it harms relations with the target village I refuse to do it.

Yah, apparently Battania has a serious problem with murder.

my main problem with this quest is that if it comes to a fight, in realistic settings, the person i need to defend dies in 2 hits, i cannot kill 3 people fast enough before he dies. every time i need to do this quest i need to set the dmg to allies to very easy just o complete the quest (i have a low charm skill so i cannot talk my way trough the minigame)

Yeah, the first time I tried this quest it took a while, and a good bit of save-scumming. They definitely need to refine it a bit. But once figured out, it's pretty easy. IF you've got some companions to help with the fight if necessary (don't forget to "gather all companions" upon entering village before talking to the target elder).

I think the relations tradeoff is worth it if the first elder is a Landowner type who tends to have the noble/elite type troops available.

I can do it on realism pretty easily. The thugs with the guy are basically low tier bandits that go down to one or two hits.

Also it seems to be best to target the guy doing the talking first. If he realizes he is about to die he'll fold instantly and call the other guys off. So a good headshot to him can end it all before the other thugs are even on you.

To make it easier bring a companion. They'll usually wreck the thugs on their own and keep the escorted person pretty safe.

The real issue with this quest is if you talk to the guy from the "enter village" screen it pops you into dialogue with him instantly on your horse without any weapons drawn. I usually get knocked out before I can dismount and draw my weapon. They need to make it so you have time prior to the fighting to get ready to fight.

Before entering town, use the + Button to leave the Villager in town. This way he doesn't take a Companion slot.

Next enter the town (Because the villager didn't enter town WITH you it doesn't take a slot) and you can have 4 Companions with you (maybe more Ive never had more than 4 in my party) and speak to one. Tell them "Gather everyone to me". Wait till ALL of your companions show up.

Go to the event.

Now its 6 on 4. I have yet to fail this event as a result.

Don't talk to the guy via the shortcut. Enter the village normally. Gather up your companions. Go to the elder, dismount, draw your weapon/shield (hopefully unneeded if dialogues work out. About 50/50 for me). THEN talk to him.

(You probably know this, just spelling it for others who are looking through this thread for help with the quest).

Yah, this is how I usually do it.

I do wish we could do it from the shortcut though. Getting to him on my horse is simple and quick but waiting for my companion and the escort guy to catch up is kind of annoying.

My bodyguard has a horse of their own so I dunno why they are on foot.
