Who else wasted 10-20 minutes for a stupid person to talk with? I can understand how such a bad quest is able to pass the quality standard.
There is no one in the village who can tells you where to find the person to talk with. You have to ride from person to person and mostly the npc is standing in the last corner. Wow, this is just work and no fun. :xf-mad:
It is ten time worse then traveling with cows in warband.

I thnk you can hold down the left alt-key(?) to highlight relevant persons in villages. That was how I found the guy I was looking for.

Hold left alt and it shows you where they are. Also, ask a villager where they are and they will take you directly to them.
The quest takes 5 minutes max

I didn´t know about tip with holding left alt. Thanks for that. But asking villager definitely won´t work in this case.

Just hold the alt key to find them, then you can only save them by dialog. Even if you try to fight the feuders they just stab the guy before you can do anything.

I have a glitch with this quest and the character I am taking to the feuding family does not appear when I arrive at the rival village. So I gave up on this quest twice and even after failing them from timing out I have two useless characters in my party. The even funnier part is no matter where I arrange them in my party they actually show up when I attack bandit camps and are worthless haha.
Next I tried forcing dialogue with them in my party, kicked both of them from my clan and they just don't get removed. The next dialogue after that they try to recruit me to their kingdom.

I really hope this gets patched! ?

Arranging your party currently does nothing

I spent more than 2 hours in total trying to complete this quest, it is such a pain.
I had to look for several trick on the Internets and it was very frustrating.

So now, whenever I see a village NPC with this quest, I'm outta here. Hope they fix it soon because there aren't that many village quests.

It's a charm quest, you can do it in a few minutes. Either you save the guy by talking them outa killing him or he gets stabbed to death.

Yeah you literally press alt, find the guy (we are at about 1-2 minutes) walk to the other village, talk with the other guy (maybe at about 3-4) then either hit the skill checks or fail and either win the fight or not and that's it, it's like 5 mins in total, come on guys

Nope, for me it wasn't that simple. It was totally broken.
I won't go in details because I already have in other threads, but I had to find lots of workarounds because quest dialogues wouldn't trigger basically.
And I was failing almost everytime the persuasion, while if we fought, the fight got interrupted by the offended guy seeking vengance by starting a conversatio with me, and then the quest would never continue.

I've had the issue of the dialogue not triggering properly a few times, but aside from that this quest is fine, the main reason I avoid it is because it gives so little gold and the net relationship gain is so low.

It says right in the journal who to talk to. And just hit left alt like others said, and even without the name just go the the one furthest away when looking for the guy to protect.

The one problem I did have is that if you target the guy your supposed to convince from the village menu then the final part of the quest wont trigger because your ward isn't with you then. You have to take a walk into the village for him to follow you so you can get the last guys dialog to trigger.

My biggest gripe with the quest is that it is so common. I mean I can see 10 people in villages with quest markers in their portrait and 8 of them will be "family feud" ..... no wonder Calradia is constantly at war.

You can solve it without charm. Just need 2-3 companions with you and position yourself properly before starting dialogue. When you do enough damage to the other guy fast enough he will accept the money.

Agreed -- it's pretty awful.

If you fail your check the guy who you are protecting likes to run into the middle of the enemy formation to get voluntarily slaughtered. He should really run away. Or at least fight defensively. And that's assuming he spawns. Usually he just doesn't spawn, you can't complete the quest, you have to give it up, take a relations hit, and then he just stays bugged out in your party.

Hot garbage.

The only problem I have with this quest is when the guy isn't loading into the village map but 2 of your compagnions instead so you can#t trigger the dialog. I suggest positioning properly before talking. You only have to kill the person you're talking to to end the fight. This is rather quick and easy with 1 compagnion around since he has no proper armor.

The easiest fix is to use the leave member button to drop off the companion, and then talk to the quest target npc. You'll always get the right conversation (unless they're wounded and don't show up in the scene)
