I know feasts are usually seen as a meme, but I am dead serious when I say I think it's a needed addition to the game.
basic principle:
- Spend money to host feasts
- Gain relation with lords who show up

It's good for meeting lords and ladies. It is a feature from Warband (which we all love). It's has huge meme potential.
