This whole war in Eastern Ukraine feels like it will never end. It feels like the scenario in Georgia all over again.
Just feel privileged that in todays world a 1 year conflict is considered long.

Yeah check your privilege you 21st century ****.

In other news, Yarosh said the DUK, the military part of Pravy Sektor, is going to become part of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, just like the rest of the volunteer batallions.

RIP Ukrainian Freikorpses, 2014-2015.

So apparently SBU have busted the terrorist cell that has been conducting bombings in my city for a while now. Turned out they were all old men tied to the party. One of them kept a diary and excerpts from it were published today by the head of SBU on social media. It felt like reading bloody Remark. So insane. These people seemed to imagine themselves living in some La Resistance novel.

Shelling by Ukraine that kills 3 kids is revealed to have never taken place at all - pure propaganda.

For those who didn't know, there was a so-called "Bessarabian Congress" on the 6th of April, which claimed to establish a new status for the southern regions of the Ukraine and Taraclia from the Republic of Moldova. The event was relatively popular in our national media, mainly because some political figures have allegedly taken part in this congress (Mikhail Formuzal - the ex-governor of Gagauzia and Mikhail Garbuz - an idiot). They denied to have been there though.

"Declaration on the State Sovereignty of the Odessa People's Republic

"In connection with the tragic events that occured in Kiev (in February 2014) and Odessa (in May 2014), we announce the unilateral withdrawal of the Odessa People's Republic from Ukraine and the emergency formation of a Cabinet of Ministers for the country. As Head of State*, I emphasize that this measure is intended to protect the democratic values of the region from encroachment by far-right forces imposing on the territory of the former Odessa Oblast on the orders of the so-called authorities in Kiev.

"Until the normalization of the situation, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Odessa People's Republic will be represented by the following state officials:
Minister of Defence: Shilov N. A.
Minister of Internal Affairs: Luzgiv A. A.
Minister of Public Health: Evseyeva V. S.
Minister of Civil Defence and Emergency: Zharkov D. N.
Minister of Culture and Tourism: Shevchenko M. K.
Military Commadant of Odessa: Kovalenko P. S.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers* of the Odessa People's Republic Kovalenko P. S."

*Traditionally this is the title of a head of government, not head of state.

Do you think this is just empty talk, or is **** about to hit the fan with Russia trying to connect Crimea to separatist regions and possibly to Transnistria?

Empty talk? This is exactly how it was done in Donetsk and Luhansk.
#HAPPENING.

Less likely.
Crimea was easily occupied because Russia had a military base there and Kiev had a 'vacuum of power'.
Donetsk & Luhansk were are a feudal fief of Donetsk stronk mafia clans that started 'all that' + preparations were made b4 Yanukovich runaway + local mental 'this is working class' issue + it borders with Russia.
All other attempts in big cities (Kharkov, Odessa, Nikolaev, Zaporozhie, Kherson) were futile. Although it was not for the government to solve problems there, but active locals did everything to kick local & imported from Russia 'homo sovieticus' arse.

And regarding 'cutting their way to Crimea and Transnistria by force' scenario - they had hard time taking Donetsk airport and Debaltsevo, that both were surrounded from September 2014 eg. in a weak position from the start. And going hundreds of miles to Transnistria... gonna cost a lot.

But I really like their constant attempts to 'save democracy' with fire & sword wherever they decide it's under threat.
Sigh, 100 years have passed, but methods are still the same.
