Yeah the Yeek start is really goddamn hard (Well, if you aren't a mindslayer ). Easy enough if you're ranged, and feel free to abuse dominant will.

Finally had a good game going with a elf archer. Then got creamed, by gloom wolves.

So far I've only unlocked the Arena, and the Wilder. The wilder is quite fun actually, but starts off with just about no equipment at all.

Crikey, finally got out into the main world with a ghoul necromancer. Guess the trick is to not try fighting the level-****ing-9 bone giant and just haul ass for the stairs  :???:

Pssh, I beat it easy

But yeah Undead start is haaaard. That and Yeek are really annoying for most classes.

Which one? there's Wyrmics and summoners.

I'm up to a level 10 Alchemist right now. God damn but my golem is a monster. All I have to do is stand around and wait and he will kill everything. Sometimes I heal him but that's it. The only problem I've had so far was with the end of Trollmire, but that's because the golem rushed out and got mobbed, and I had to run to the exit and come back later with higher level (because I didn't even know you could level up the golem at that point, I thought it was tied to my level!).

Basically any map with choke points = total joke for me. I have escape powers too, but I never even have to use them.

You have no idea

Alchemists are by far the easiest class to win with. Not necessary, but if you get any channeling staves, save 'em. You can bring your golem revive off cooldown. One guy just stacked attack runes on his golem, had it charge everything. It dies, revive. Dies again? Use channeling staff, revive again. He could do it five times in a row before they were all on cooldown.

Hmmmmmm so should my berserkerdwarf join the anti-magic dudes? Don't use much arcane stuff, but I'm afraid it would limit me down the line. What's the benefits of joining them?

http://te4.org/wiki/talents-antimagic

I haven't ever actually done it, since so much of the really good stuff is arcane equipment. It also locks you out of the most useful escort rewards - Stone alchemy, providence, premonition.

But a lot of melee classes, especially Bulwarks and marauders, are basically only ever in danger from people who can use magic. Berserkers have the most trouble with them, too.

The only time my golem has ever died is when it went off screen and I didn't even know it was dying. Aside from the low health regen, those things are really hard to kill (been meaning to pump mine's CON, but been focusing on Str, he 1 shots most things). The gear I've got him with + the insane damage and defense bonus - he's like a juggernaut. Mostly I just stand back and watch. I rarely use ANY of my skills. Basically only bosses have been trouble, but only that one time because I was noob. The only problem I run into is how to carry all of the loot.

I had some trouble when that town got attacked by elementals, but I just had to leave and reenter a few times. Once I got them to come at me in a line it was cake.

EDIT: Am now level 15, and have the transmogrification chest!

Weapons are randomly generated sooooo...Yeah.

As for 'assassin' mechanics...My rogue can jump out of stealth and **** someone up pretty sharpish.

Been playing this for a while. Even seen Calodine talking up the channel. Still I think I'm too distracted for roguelikes while not in my own rented room. I could only concentrate till lvl 10+ before doing something stupid and dying.

If you want an easy level 1-20, go Bulwark

Max shield wall, get all the shield offence talents at level one (Only level shield pummel), get rush maxed soon as you can, and get greater weapon focus and step up maxed (Step up takes priority over everything). Also max armour mastery. Basically, you can completely ignore anything that lacks magic. Stuff that DOES have magic? Rush/step up to them, shield pummel > Assault for instant kill.

Still trying to master the berserk class. Currently, I go full stunning hit, full berserk, 1 lvl in rush, get some healing runes, full weapon focus and armour mastery. But I usually lack concentration to make calculated moves after lvl 10+ due to my current surroundings and go berserk on everything.

Also, I keep going towards the east. I know it's a bad idea since the mobs there are lvl 20+, but my berserker kills them no problem. Just need to keep an eye on health. Also, beyond level 10, I get bloodthirst line, perhaps shouts will be better.

Edit : Also tried alchemist once. While resting, alchemist drowned and only golem was left.

Edit 2 : Also, ****ing escort quests. They are worth doing because they have good solid rewards, but for the love of god, if you are going to wander off and get killed anyway, why ask me for an escort?

What, what? How the hell did you get east before dreadfell?

Also, you want the bloodlust tree, and regen infusions instead of healing. why? Bloodlust (The first skill in that tree) multiplies your health and stamina regen when you crit. If you pop a regen infusion before you crit, it multiplies that too. So if the infusion heals you for 30 per turn you'll instead get 100 per turn, and when that wears off it'll only drop to 70 per turn
