This might seem trivial but..

Has anyone done a Mod where you have the option of changing your characters eye color?

If not is there a way for me to mod the eyes?

Help will be appreciated.

Not unless you want to go through every skin for your character and change the eye colour in each.

Ok, thanks for the info.

I just bought this game today and i'm hooked, the only reason I asked about this is because if I can I want to try make the character look like me.

I'm completely new to modding is there a vid or topic in any forum that could help me do this? Thanks again.

well I've done it in my own module before.

That's cool.

I'd need a certain software tool and stretch my face on a modelling screen?

I'm pretty happy with the face editing options in-game so if all I'd need to edit is the eyes that should be easier/faster?

yes go to ..\Program Files\Mount&Blade\Textures\
the face textures begins with manface & womanface.
you'll need a DDS importer/exporter to open them (or if you have photosho there's a plugin to do so) I use "DXTBmp" to import them in PSP then I edit them & export them as DDS again.
also you'll have to edit the skins.txt & add the new faces that you created.

if you dont't know how to edit the txt files you might just replace one of the existing textures but remember to BACKUP the original.

here http://developer.nvidia.com/object/photoshop_dds_plugins.html
although I suggest you use DXTBMP http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Editors/DXTBmp.shtml

Ok I tied downloading your suggestion first but had problems with accsessing manface where I got straight in with PS, so i'll try it with this.

If I copy & paste the original into another folder and then dit the current picture I should be ok?

it opened with PS because ps is set as default for DDS format. right click on the manface.dds & click on open with then choose dxtbmp, if you don't find it in the list click on browse & look for it where you installed it.

yes you should be ok. ((actually you might not do it. it's only so you can find it later if you're tired of your own texture))
