Hi there. I really love the mod even though it is not out yet. I cannot scene but I can model and make skins if you know what I mean. If you need my help then please tell me.

I think he's got the model/skin part covered. He's looking for sceners.

I am too curious about the progress is scenes. I hope he got some good replies and some progress is happening behind the scenes.
He is still working on getting the mod in the right status so the sceners can get started. So I doubt there is much progress behind the scenes. ^^
Actually, he is looking for sceners

I'm now looking for talented sceners to start on the singleplayer scenes.

I'm looking for people that can make a number of high quality, period accurate scenes under fairly strict time-constraints. I'll be able to provide some references, but a fair amount of creativity will be needed. If you want to contribute to the scenes, send me a PM with the best examples of your work. Don't post it in this thread. Inexperienced or unskilled sceners need not apply. I have a certain standard I'm not really willing to compromise on.

Thanks.

Oh right, my fault. In my mind looking for sceners =/= production of scenes have begun. Disregard the above

Docm, for the Royal African regiment you've said
The regiment was all black, including the officers save for the Colonel, the curiously named Francesco MacDonald. There's nothing I can do about some white faces spawning in, though.

All you need to do in incorporate the face mesh into the specific hats they wear, so the head itself is the hat, and use the cover head flag to stop the real face poking through.

That would mean that they'd all have the same face.

An easier method would be to simply do what mods like The Last Days did and create a new race for them. Then you can give them custom skeletons, skin textures, animations etc...

That seems more complicated than sticking heads to hats. Just create 4 or 5 different faces. No one looks at their soldiers faces anyway.

Yeah, it "seems" more complicated, but it's not. You would also have to give each head a headwear, which means the number of faces needed to be generated would be 4 or 5 (as you suggested) * number of different troops (infantry, NCOs...).

And still the player would not be able to play as a black soldier.

It's just a sloppy way of doing things.

If those hats are out there does that mean my proud Germanic soldier (unsure of precisely where I'll start out yet) will be able to unlock the great hat of blackface?

I've already solved that issue via what I can only describe as a fortunate bug.

Ehhh,..... how is Adjutant a rang?
It is a "helper" ect. for highrang officers.
In the Danish Garderhusar Regiment, the Adjutant is a Captain or Major.

How is it a rank, you ask? the army gave certain men a commission saying that their rank was Adjutant, and they were paid an appropriate amount of money and held the responsibilities of that rank.

Allow me to quote the 1812 standing orders for the 85th Foot. "The duties of the Adjutant and so various and complicated, that it is impossible to detail or precisely to point them out;—he is in general to consider himself as the person immediately responsible to the Commanding Officer for the state of Non-commissioned Officers and Privates, and to report to him any deficiency or impropriety whatever of appearance or conduct in." note that the bad wording and questionable grammar are preserved from the original.

How's it not a rank?

I think in some armies it is an actual rank with its own insignia and pay grade, and in others it's a billet.

He expressed himself in such a way as to make it seem like he couldn't understand how it could be a rank, which makes no sense. Captain was an appointment and not a rank in the Royal Navy, but I don't have a hard time understanding how other forces have Captain as a rank.
