[TEXT FILE TWEAK] Get rid of Death Knights

Master Knight
Because people have complained about Death Knights and I don't particularly like them myself I decided to make this guide how to easily remove them. This tweak doesn't actually make them vanish, just makes them like normal bandits.

First, open party_templates file in your Blood and Steel folder
(C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\mountblade warband\Modules\Blood_and_Steel)
Then find following code from it
pt_sea_raiders_normal Sea_Warriors 562949953421319 0 2 328 203 10 120 0 204 10 120 0 201 20 120 0 -1 -1 -1
pt_sea_raiders_hard Sea_Kings 562949953421319 0 2 328 203 20 120 0 204 20 120 0 205 20 120 0 202 20 120 0 55 10 25 0 -1
pt_death_knights Death_Knights 2814749767106567 0 25 255 221 20 1200 0 222 20 1200 0 223 20 1200 0 -1 -1 -1
pt_deserters Deserters 844424930131971 0 27 328 -1 -1 -1 -1 -1 -1
As you probably guess, bold line is the one we want to edit

Red numbers mean troop types. For example 221 eguals Death Knight. What we want to do is to change them to something bit easier to beat. I changed them to 200, 201 and 192. These are three different types of forest bandits. Now the line should look like this
pt_death_knights Death_Knights 2814749767106567 0 25 255 200 20 1200 0 201 20 1200 0 192 20 1200 0 -1 -1 -1

Green numbers are lower and upper limit of how many troops can be in individual party. Currently game takes random number between 20 and 1200 and gives that many soldiers to spawning party. I let 20s be and only changed every 1200 to 200 and the result is that instead of hordes of invincible Death Knight Armies there will now be lots of forest bandits around.
pt_death_knights Death_Knights 2814749767106567 0 25 255 200 20 200 0 201 20 200 0 192 20 200 0 -1 -1 -1

Save file and enjoy.

WARNING: You will need a new savegame to get this work. You can keep your current character with export/import though.

Of course you can edit this as you like the best. If you want smaller parties just lower the limits and so on. You can also test different types of bandits. Numbers 188-205 should all be bandits, roughly from half naked Looter to most badass Sea Raider

I found this file a while back, and coincidentally I too reduced the number to 200. But it might be a good idea if rookie players should reduce it even further, to 100 maybe.

well, at least I'll get to side with the winnars now when I start again.  Kingdom of Swadia ALWAYS gets annihilated by everyone else early in the game.

I think the Death Knights are perfectly terrifying and not so gamebreaking when I lower them down to a 120 number.  Now Death Knight packs roam about numbering on average 150, scaring tons of people, but getting sufficiently beaten by larger forces.  I managed to defeat a pack of 100 Death Knights, and suffered heinous casualties.

Wrong.

*Phew* Thank goodness! I've been wanting to play on mommy difficulty for the longest time, but the insanely huge armies of Death Knights made the mommy difficulty improperly named.

Thank you for putting up a fix to this problem. Now at least they'll be beatable, but costly in casualties.
