well at that time we were written off as "warband veterans" who couldn't see the light of the new brilliant multiplayer 🤣
yeah... agree... feels like we born as Warband people... We have a Warband logo shape birthmark.

We actually just repeated what we did 10 years ago (when we were Warband newbies). Provide feedback.
It didn't work well as before.
BTW... we were "cs1.5 veterans" 10 years ago and obviously, Warband wasn't made as a competitive game of CSGO

The game is too restrictive
The devs can’t hear this
I dont know to this day why i cant swing a normal spear
So stupid !!
No one asking to make the swings very effective, just at least a little blunt damage or for using better fients instead of thrust then thrust then thrust 😫

The spear is very hard to swing. Maximum you can do is use it as bo pole, but you will lose a lot of reach that way.

Also, there is a menavlion. There is your swinging spear. And it's increadibly owerpowered, too.

I'd suggest adding right stab and left stab to make a spear viable in duel. But hey... Dreamers will dream.

I mean this is unfair to say they arent communicating with us. I for one, have a clear picture of what they are leading Bannerlord to (wether i agree with it or not)

-We know they will keep the class system to the grave
-We know they will release a duel mode
-We know they will release a battle mode
-We know they will release more maps
-We know they are working on nerfing Cav, especially horses. They are working on sound cues which is the worst issue of it all.
-We know they will nerf cav in siege
-We know they are working into making Infantry more pleasing to play as (although i would like for them to say what they personnally think makes infantry feel like **** to play as)
-We know they want to keep the matchmaking, make a ranking system, leveling system with xp and cosmetics you can unlock with said xp.
-We know they will nerf crossbow in some way
-We know they work on balancing the classes
-We know they are working into making Cav and Archers more effective in Captain mode
Etc.

This isn't a "clear vision" as far as I'm concerned, it's a very vague list of scattered statements by random developers over a period of almost 2 years, one of whom has allcaps bait in his sig, says things are in the game when they aren't, and regularly deletes his own posts. I mean hell the guy who first leaked that the class system was here to stay did so in a post that sounded like he was a fugitive sharing secret information.

Knowing what they are going to do is kind of pointless if we don't know the why. It's even more frustrating because almost everyone here knows taleworlds is making massive mistakes which will kill their game (dunno why I'm even using past tense here lol). People were saying this stuff over a year before coronavirus even existed, imagine that.

Agree, really good points. It's true TW are communicating, but the broader criticism is that they are communicating selectively and reactively. We are still, essentially, trying to fix some things identified way back in beta, and plenty of those issues are not even being addressed. You can clearly see a process where it's something like:

-Problem identified in beta: That's not in line with our vision, we don't want to remake Warband, but it's beta we will change things.
-Problem still there in early access release: It's still actively in development, we will improve things.
-Problem partially addressed or still there 1 year on: We've made X improvements and changes, we are listening, we're still changing the game
-👆YOU ARE HERE👆-
-Problem partially addressed or still there at full release: It's too late to change the fundamental mechanics at this stage and we've listened to a lot of feedback already, besides, there is a core playerbase that enjoy the game. We will let mods address this.

Playerbase splits further and native is permanently hindered.

Absolutely agree with Kentucky 『 HEIGUI 』 James & OurGloriousLeader words.

Regardless of the encrusted communication problem, the class system, lack of modes, servers and stability issues...etc; I will say that as of today something as fundamental as the combat system that is supposed to work at this stage of the game 100%, does not.
But some of you will say, -Terco the devs incorporated the parameters in almost a carbon copy; -yes and it's not enough. The line of cooperation between dev-community should never have been broken; I'm talking about the Mister out of time master server. That environment was a testing platform to make the Bannerlord combat experience a better place, with no other hidden agenda.

This was unfortunately interpreted as a direct attack on their creative vision, as if the members of Betalords intended to compete directly with the devs to see who could make a better MP. That was shut down, and with it an extremely important line of connection for dev-community feedback was lost.

Now it's too late. And also this is clearly reflected in SP too... just look at the plummeting activity graphs on Steam. An incomprehensible debacle.

Taleworlds should have provided two testing platforms and thus brought together specialised players (vets) to provide honest feedback. One platform for the competitive skirmish mode and one for captain mode; both with tailor-made and separate atmospheres and balance.

This was not done and now it is too late. An EA development that should have been an enjoyable waltz-style dance has turned into a hodgepodge of dance styles where you are just stepping on each other's toes and dancing circles around the fire. In this way neither learning nor progress is made.

The class system is the foundation of the Multiplayer experience. Try building a house on a faulty/defective foundation and it will soon collapse, same story goes here. We are now giving feedback for problems and issues we would not have had if the game was based on freely choosing equipment.

On a more positive note, the foundation can easily be changed because the many different weapons and armours are already designed for singleplayer. Literally all that needs to happen is that content needs to be brought to MP and people need to be allowed to freely select gear.

Im not saying this resolves all the problems we face, but it will make things a lot easier and enjoyable. Fact remains, TW doesn't want to change it so they keep building on this faulty system, thus leaving us in the hand of modders. The end result will inevitably be good but how long do we need to wait for modding utility and custom server?

Who needs Warband Veterans when your new and flashy multiplayer is going to explode am I right? But hey don't get angry THIS IS EARLY ACCESS THE GAME IS GOING TO BE BAD... Meanwhile Valheim...
Anyways, if your game isn't fun in it's core then your game is bad and will not be played, and Bannerlord it's not fun because these core system suck ass, the only fun thing is Captain Mode but it will not be sustainable anyways.

I support navel combat.

Taleworlds, and Mount&Blade, are such a strange anomaly in the games industry. Most of the reason we all played the first Mount & Blade for so long was not really Warband, (but yeah we played the **** out of Native), it was the broader modding community that really resolved fundamental design issues with the game and made it into solid experiences. Brytenwalda/Viking Conquest is the pinnacle of what the community forced Warband to be, somewhat against its wishes. On a business level they must recognize that implies they don't exactly need to solve anything.

The only thing I can really compare it to is the first Half-Life, where this game is really more of an engine than a game.

Developers acting like literal babies ruin their own game.mp4 someone should document this and make a youtube video
When I see a dev putting a copypasta excusing himself all I see is a point of no return where nothing can go better. Even if they sell me the supposed battle mode I know for real they will f it up somehow just like they did with everything else.

At first, I was going to reply with text... talking about an evident blurring manifested in the Taleworlds current vision (I explicitly refer to armagan and team leaders)... but we have talked so much about it... and what have we gotten... rather little. So I thought, let's go back to the roots... to the memes.

This one can be understood by anyone :iamamoron: 🎻 .

Man that This is an unreleased game nonsense is really becoming a meme now. I guess the ultimate endgame of Bannerlord is sitting on forums and trashtalking the game 24/7 whilst removing BL from steam library and playing other games

I don't think the whole community matters.
There are always few people who can provide constructive suggestions.

For example, Players remaining will focus on "balancing". However, the majority(quit players), was because of gameplay. They do not practice enough to provide any constructive suggestions before they quit. And they don't want to, because they thought the game is boring.

Another example... do all people crying about the "class system" is actually thinking of customized? Or some of us are thinking of a character growth system in TDM? To satisfy those players, do devs need to Polish the TDM instead of changing the whole multiplayer game? Or make another mode that allows ppl levelling their characters up?

When ppl say "buff inf", do we actually want to say "inf", or we actually mean "buff melee"?
When ppl say "battle pls" do we actually want to say "1 life", or we actually mean "massive+organized battle"?
When ppl say "Cavs annoying", is it because of Cavs are strong, or is it because of the "Jumping around" style of gameplay?
+1, Some players on the forums send multiple messages a day on the forums and I have yet to see one comment that was constructive.

It makes total sense, no more words, the era of memery has begun. Also saying that Bannerlord is Sonic the movie only implies that sonic can get to be average, because well... That movie is average.
