Renown is overpowered...

So I've won several tournaments now and have a it of renown, like 250 or so. With 0 points in leadership my party capacity is 109... wtf? Isn't that a bit ridiculous or is it set that way on purpose?

It's made this way so that armies are closer to their Dark Age size.

I see, fair enough. Since there aren't really super high tier units I guess it does make sense. Thanks.
