Quest: Deal with deserters

Sorry if anyone brought this up, but this was my favorite quest on all villages.

Does anyone knows what happened to it? I barely seen them anymore...

Are you talking about the "Deserter Extortion" quest? (where you wait until night and deserters come to attack the village). I've seen it once or twice my last playthrough. I don't know, I feel like some quests do appear very rarely or not at all. Never seen a "Find The Spy" quest anymore either.
