Kazzan-Made the map, and is helping out with what ever he can.

hey there i have seen a lot of attempts at warhammer 40k and i havnt seen one released so i hope u get this one working!

i would love to help but im only a begginer at modelling and i guess i could try make a map :grin:

As I've already said in the other thread, I've got a whole load of IG-stuff here:
IG-helmet (mesh & texture)
IG-armor (mesh & texture, not rigged)
IG-boots (mesh & texture)
Kasrkin armor (mesh & texture, not rigged)
Chainsword (mesh & texture)
hunting lance (mesh & texture)
Hellgun (Mesh & texture)

I've created all meshes and textures except the hellgun and hunting lance myself.
I think those two are Raslin's, and all textures except the chainsword have been additionally worked on by DvD, since I am a mediocre texturer at best,  :oops:.
Screenshots can be found on page 38 of the old thread.

P.S. Raslin had even more stuff, such as the Kasrkin helmet, Bayonet, Powerfist and Powersword, but since I wasn't at all involved in the creation of any of those four, I don't have any files of them.

How will you implement them without them looking like green men?

Sareth: Theres been 2 wh40k mods one for .808 and the other for .903

(im still not positive about using the goddamn .808 stuff. They dont really look good.)

Same way TLD (actually, not) and our mod works. Give them a head as a helmet. Problem is you won't be able to use real helmets, but the Orks aren't really famous for their abundance of helmets.

Alternatively, you can make an individual race in the module_skins file, and, as Hokie has mentioned, add in custom features for them like separate voices and battlecries...

I'm currently working on the final phase of my BA thesis, so don't expect me to contribute anything except a little text now and then until the 17th of February.

But after that, I might have a look at them. As I said, don't expect any masterpiece from me texturewise.
 
i know about the others i was referring to the present one in creation   

is that dead??  im not sure i havnt read through all 60 odd pages :smile:

Well, hopefully, I can get the guys from the old thread over here.

Anyway, when I come back from college today, I'm going to update the first post, with much more detail.

Gwalchmai: I'll gladly take the models. PM me and we can discuss it there.

Also...it seems like the armor needs to be rigged.
 
I've decided that Orks be put on a backburner, until we decide how to do them essentially.

For now, we will be concentrating on IG (quite a few models are finished), Eldar, and Tau.

So if the modelers would like to get to work...

We desperately need models for either of the alien races.
