Perisno Q&A + FAQ

If nobody knows how to fix the Gunnar glitch is there any way I can cheat to complete that part. I'll penalize myself to compensate if need be I just really love the Illica Falki and want to get them as troops.

Oh WOW, I just discovered a feature I didn't know about before.

You'll get a quite nice treat
Devoted Lords whisper their secrets in my ears and give me +1 Charisma
each time you get a lord up to 90 relation with you or higher. Strongly recommended! If you want to farm the bonus, make your own faction, poach as many upstanding/good-natured lords as possible, and host feasts and win the tournaments.

A feast, as far as I can see, goes for three or four days by itself. We'll assume all parameters (food/drink/spice/oil, and quantity/variety) are Magnificent.
1: Each day of the feast, there are three Tournaments.
- Winning each tournament gives you 20 Renown, 2 Honour, and (if you bet on yourself, [2000 + 7225 - 3000 you spent on bets] = 6225 aurums profit. Useful for buying ingredients to host more feasts.
- Honour passively increases your relationship with every upstanding and good-natured lord in the game

2: Each day of the feast;
- You gain 3 relationship with every lord attending (with occasionally +1 again if you talk to a lord individually at the feast).
- If a lord arrives later in the day, just talk to them individually and you'll get the +3 bonus even if they weren't there at the start.

3: When you end the feast, you will gain an additional +3 relationship with every lord currently attending the feast, and +31 Renown.

Damn son, I was unaware up until very recently of just how powerful Feasting is, and I actually completed Gekokujo so it's not the first time I've been a king... Whoops?
Doesn't seem to use up that much of your household supplies either, because they increased the Unit count for all of the food items in Perisno, so you can actually stock your pantry technically twice as full as you can in Native!

-

Other ideas for increasing relationship;

- On campaign, deliberately let lords get into bad, losing fights, and then save them at the last second. The later you save them, the more grateful they'll be.
- Tell your lord to follow you. Each time they win a fight (say against a tiny Wandering Criminal party) you'll get a relationship increase of +4 or so - "I profited greatly by following your advice".
- If you're at war and all of your lords are good guys, just hand your seduction target a weakly defended border castle, and let it get lost, recapture it, assign it to the lord, and let it get lost again for easy repeating relationship gains.

1) Is there a way to stop Onishi and Yachamoci from spawning? (wipe out ZD?) Because it's weird, when their goal is to run around helplessly "cut through the Perisno before the arrival of Emperor-ego-in-heaven" and the emperor's been in Perisno for about a year now...

2) Do fiefs provide bonus to party size? Mine is much bigger, than it should be according just to renown and leadership

3) Does prisoner management increase the chance of capturing a lord after a battle? (I've seen it in some mod, but not sure if it is a part of Perisno-if not, then PM is not worth investing in more than maybe 2-3 points)

4) Am I just dull, or are the houseguards really not worth the price? Because their WPs are just 400, that much has every elite troop, and you have to buy equipment for them and equip them manually. I wasn't able to buy myself a bladed crossbow in 570 ingame days and I check Maccavian towns every now and then! (I got one from the mystic merchant, but it's cracked). As I see it, the hired troops are waay better. Yes, you have to specialize them, but the top tier is similarly capable in its respective area (archery, knighthood, melee fights), they are much cheaper, you can mass produce them and you can give them whatever equipment you want instantly. In my opinion, if the house guards are to mean something special, then they WP should be at least 500, if not more

5) Is it possible to find the best Perisno (possibly best at all) armor in shops? I don't remember the name, but I think it's the armor the runed knights wear and I would really like it

Household guards come fully trained, I guess thats their advantage over "hired" troops. If you exit and reenter a tavern the inventory of the mystic merchant resets, so its quite easy to find "rare" Equipment compared to just visiting the regular merchants once a week. To find perisno Equipment in shops I Think you need to have the perisno Kingdom Culture, not sure if that armor is available though. You might have to fight Nox and his perisno Knights and hope to get lucky with a drop. If looting works the same as in PoP mod then you have to kill one of those Knights first in battle so their loot comes out on top of the lootpile, with so many units involved in larger battles the lootpile fills up and some loot is lost. Its sorted by unittype so its important to kill an elite unit first if you want the best loot.

I've got perisno culture, but the armor just isn't there. I got myself a nice perisno twilight horse though. Almost as tough as wyvern, but much faster  Thanks for the tip on MM, I'll try that. As for the house guards...I can train hired troops to the top tier in a week or so. Third atanon guards are better than house guards except for the equipment (but at least have some), have engineer skill (sieges never been so fast  ), come trained and cost 3000 each.

2) Only for lords, not for the player character.
Kings get +100 to party size.
Plus the report is slightly inaccurate since it only shows +1 per charisma point, while it's in fact +2.

3) Yes.

5) Not in regular shops, but mystic merchants seem to have their own settings ignoring the lack/presence of both itp_unique and itp_merchandise flags.

Third Atanon Guards are not engineers. Third Kaleros are.

That was my first impression too.. 10K each!?  But you can equip them with top notch gear, and their weekly wage doesn't spike to 1K/week like it can w hired troops.  Yeah you have to buy the gear, but just once for your whole stack of household guards.  And if you give them a cracked crossbow and a swaybacked horse, the crossbow and the horse will be magically healed.  Though if you give them a masterwork blade, that will magically revert to a plain blade, so beware.  Once I got to mid and late game, and money was plentiful, i got a bunch of them.  They aren't paladins or Perisno runed knights, but they stomp through battles pretty effectively.  Plus you can swap out their equipment if you want them outfitted differently for sieges vs field battles.  And you can replace any losses next time you're at your home base, no training time needed.

So while i was in a siege i used the first aid combat ability it didnt reduce my xp, but in the field of battle it did. Do all of them use xp? and wich are "safe" to use? Thanks! Great mod with the best features i have seen so far  !!

Man, they're not engineers?? Mybe you didn't intend them to be, but they definitely are. How else would you explain, that without them, my best engineer is Shinji, and he builds ladders 4 hours, and with a hundred of them, my best engineer is me, with skill 14 and build ladders less than an hour? they have 4 eng. skill

As for the armor, I'll try mystic merchant.

Regarding the party size, it was the combo of double CHAR pts. and king's bonus. Thanks

So, what's exactly the story behind the "people of Valahir"? Is there some lore, or are they there just to prevent players from starting their kingdom on the Valahir island? (Which is exactly what I did in 0.7). I guess that after at least ten fights with people's 1000+ parties the Zann spearheads will feel like a piece of cake

Yes, there is some lore.
Valahir is overpopulated, running out of resources and is urging to invade the mainland.
Also they protect Valahir against Maccavia and Reich, because according to the lore, Valahir is supposed to invade the mainland and hit Maccavia/Reich badly, not the opposite, as it was before.

Skill level of 4 is not enough. Only 5+ makes soldier a specialist.

Since you have Perisno culture, do you use Perisno Champions?
They are engineers.

Is there any way I can change my wife's title? I married her when she was Viscountess of the Tolrania, now that I started my own faction she (and her sister) are still Viscountess, not "Lady" like the rest of the noblewomen in the kingdom.

Better yet, is there any way I can change her title to Queen?

Edit: Okay I changed it to Marquess/Marchioness and it worked, but I'm still wondering if I can change her title to Queen

Wow, thanks. I love Perisno lore, it's really deep sometimes. They definitely hit me badly

And yes, I use Champions, but I think that when I was marching just with them and without atanons, I didn't have the engi bonus. But I'll check it and let you know if something is not as it should be

Can you recruit captured lords?
No, AFAIR.
We didn't go that path.

If I unsubscribe the mod on steam and then subscribe again, would I loose my saves? I'm thinking about doing that to fix some of the bugs I have in game (maybe some files got corrupted or something)
