So they become grey (outlaw if i recall correctly but unsure), if i kill them once, it respawn and somehow end to be bound to the player faction, (but still grey). if I attack them, i lost standing from 100 to -5 to the player faction (can't enter own castle and stuff). If this can help =)

Did the lords they were escorting join your faction?

i like to report a bug

1. when i imprison any general of Zann into any town or castle . My save game cant open.
it keep crash.

2. when i manage recruit general yuan and hiero. they betray me after a few second and join other faction.
our point relationship is 50.

On the quest for the KingSlayer, it is possible to skip going to Westery Castle and talking to Galine. You can just talk to Hermit -> beat Sekr and then go back to Amarna to complete the quest and get Kingslayer

Yep, and even in dialogues both initial tasks eventually lead to Hermit.
I don't know what's the point of Galine, but the quest seems to have been coded this way on purpose.
 
Im using attrition to my advantage in my battles but it seems weird when I click "wait till tomorrow morning" I end up having to click that screen multiple times, it hurts on the eyes having to click it over and over and over again :sad:
 
i nearly played any faction and now im playin with dwarves.

i have problems with some sieges. they cant climb some ladders... so they always stuck at the beginning.

had this two times
(federo castle)
(and the other one i forgot somewhere at tolarian empire too) (a siege with two ladders) should be Lesbere, Headow or Dillac Castle

do it before you build your stuff (then it works) you could also go into combat and retreat any time, then its possible again because you have to build all again. again again again
 
I'm trying to jailbreak General Sung Wo from Hafen Castle (Reich territory).

I keep Sung Wo alive until the very end, but he's hostile to me during the jailbreak (actually tries to attack me and my companions attack him) and I always have to knock him out before the level ends.

I'm on good relations with the Zann and I'm also at high relation with Sung Wo.

Very sad. Any way to get around problems like this? This is just like the time that I tried jailbreaking King Harlaus from a Rhodok castle and I killed all the guards, but Harlaus feint spammed and chamber blocked me four times in a row, personally throwing me in prison and locking the door of his own cell ^.^

EDIT - Interesting detail, I'd like to mention that Sung Wo also attacks the guards first - like he belongs to some kind of third team during the fight. How bizarre!

EDIT 2 - Encountered the same problem at Amarna trying to rescue a dwarven lord, Drgrimst Calrak, who's a good-natured lord and has 57 relation with me.
Also completely coincidentally, when you tell the Prison Guard in Amarna "I want the keys NOW!", the townspeople actually try to help you kill the town guard! That's hilarious, I've never seen that before. The shopkeepers get knocked out all over the place. They don't stay dead of course.
 
I've tried searching the forums for this, but can't seem to find it no matter how I word it.  Anyway...  I was tired of my frame rate dropping during battles whenever I was looking in the direction of my troops.  The drop was minor, so rather than decreasing battle size, I lowered some of the settings for graphics.  Did this in the middle of a battle, and when I returned to the world map view, this is what the banners look like...

Talinoth, that sounds like an old Native prison break bug that existed for years and was randomly encountered by some people but never by others in different mods.
If you happen to play Warband 1.167, send me your save file before the prison break.
Otherwise I'm afraid I can't help you because I've never encountered this bug myself.

2) For 2 months, you're the second person mentioning this "black banners" issue.
3) What's you Warband version?
4) Did you try just reloading your save file? This version uses heraldic banners, and they're a little buggy for no apparent reason. For example, a banner pole near a village can be empty, but after you reload a save file, the banner will appear. The opposite can also happen. Game engine doesn't seem to like heraldic banners, but due to the amount of map icons Perisno uses, heraldic banners are the only choice.
5) What were the exact settings you changed?
 
The PBOD mod's NPC weapon fixes don't seem to work, my mercs still run into battle with swords only and ignore their polearms, horse archers prefer to charge in with melee weapons and die off before the survivors realize they have bows and arrows.

Also not really a bug but I think the custom troop system needs a slight rework, I want to make pikemen armed with the longest spear in game (the 5 meter spear) but they're completely defenseless if an enemy gets past their spearpoint, so I gave them each swords as well. When they spawn in battle though only half of them are armed with the pikes but everybody has a sword. They only have those two weapons in their inventories, I think as long as there are 4 or less weapons/shields in their inventories they should spawn with all of them. 
 
Once again, game engine decides what weapons different soldiers spawn with if they have more than 1 weapon of the same type (melee or ranged) in their inventory.
 
Curiously, I was about to figure out how to send you my save game, but it looks like I don't need to.

On a hunch, I went back to Amarna to try and rescue Drgrimst Calrak (The Zann already ransomed Sung Wo out earlier so I couldn't test him) and there were no problems, no townspeople died, and Aracanus didn't shoot Calrak between the eyes with a Bladed Crossbow.

Watson, I think this is a cold case. For some reason, the glitch that caused the problem is gone and I can't replicate it. I think we'll have to file this one under the "Occult Mysteries" folder.

I have encountered something else though.


Third Legion -
I'm besieging the Third Legion Outpost and all is going well. I tear the enemy archers off the walls, and even the Atanon Guards eventually fall to huge numbers of Geldarin Dukes storming into the courtyard.

However, after a couple of waves, I notice that the enemy is spawning behind this gate;

Not seeing any way to get to them at all.

I can actually win the siege anyway by just coming back a couple of times (they all eventually just spawn in the courtyard!), but then I realise there's another problem.

Shouldn't I be able to enter the castle after winning the siege? I still lose around 30-50 men each time I do this siege, and after that I'm simply told "Hey bro, you can walk 300m with no quick-travel or menu access to buy our overpriced junk in this marketplace, no we're not going to give you access to any of our elite units or be able to use this place as a garrison but hey thanks for playing dewddd ayyy lmao".

Or something along those lines, I forget the exact phrasing.

EDIT: NEVERMIND. I found where the "Third Marshal" is - when you enter the castle courtyard, go up to the main gate of the castle then turn right, and you'll see him. And yes, you can recruit Atanon Guards from him. My bad!

Thanks for the reply and moving the post to the proper forum location.  And sorry, will be sure to add spoiler tags to photos.

Reloading the game seemed to fix the issue.  The game crashed because I kept ALT + Tabbing out to do other things here and there, but when I loaded from the last save (after changes were made) everything was fine.  I was playing the latest version of Warband available on Steam [ v 1.170 ], and playing Perisno with the latest version listed on ModDB [ 0.8 Full (HF16) ].  I'm not sure what my default settings were before I changed them.  If you like, I can uninstall M&B and then reinstall to figure out what the exact settings were.  Either way, the game play wasn't affected in any way.  Was just an odd incident that fixed itself upon reloading.

I forgot to add in that this did happen to me one other time a long, long time ago when 1200 AD was still being developed before it went dead.  The circumstances were the same then, too.  Happened after altering graphics settings and fixed itself upon reload.
 
Please help. I have been looking for a solution for the problem where armies just circle around each other and don't charge. I have no idea how to fix this at all and it's getting really annoying... I decided to attack a large army, my 130 Army versus a 300+ Army, and somehow they decided to just go in a circle and don't do anything. I charge with my cavalry and break them off to see if they'll follow, but NO. They decide to take the full brunt of it and stay in their stupid line and walk in a circle. It was funny the first few times when the entire enemy army was pushed up against the edge of the map, but when I actually wanted it to be serious, it was extremely annoying. Please, help me this or at least try and give some solutions? I tried the Diplomacy and Game options, but I either they don't work in fixing that problem or I'm doing something wrong.
 
In a day or 2 I'll release patch 0.81.
It will have a "CHAAAAARGE" setting with which I'm currently playing.
It forces all lords to charge when battle starts.
 
is it a option?
you can choose play with "charge" setting or not
i like current system now.
(sometime they wait. sometime they charge)
