In every battle to have maximum eficiency you must ORGANIZE your army

but sincerley YOU DON T HAVE TIME

So is there any way to pause the game in battle to organize my troops?

one of the Devs made a mod for warband where you can plan out your stragy before the battle, i think it was called pre-battle orders? or maybe deployment.

You can freeze the battle action with ctrl-F11 or slow it down with ctrl-F9

If your mouse/keyboard allows, you could set up a makro(s) that would take care of the initial formation(s)...

If you utilize the 9 troop groupings (infantry, marksman, cavalry plus unnamed 1-6) you can have your army positioned in less than 10 seconds, quick enough for the (Crimean Khanate) engagements with the immediate calvary charge.

well btw when you become a lord and you fight another lord the other lord lines up his troops and does the moment option where they advance 10 paces and that always gives me enough time to get set up on a hill or somthing.

you can access comman pannel by pressing backspace... you'll see its helps a lot... no need to pause
