I set my only companion to be in infantry formation one in the party menu. However in battle that companion always appears in a cavalry formation three on his own. He is the only fighter in my army other then myself that has a horse, so I understand why the game would place him there by default. However my setting him to a different formation number from the party menu should supersede this right?

Hello, sorry for the late reply. We have fixed a considerable amount of the problems we have encountered so far and improved the game performance with the multiple patches we have released. Please make sure that your game, your drivers, and OS are up to date and the game has necessary permissions over your security software.
