Two works in progress. The Grenadier battalion of Neuchatel and the Caucasian warrior of the 19th century.

Looks fantastic. Why is the second one flat like that? Is it for a medal or pin? Or is there something wrong with my eyes?

What did some of you create when you all first used hi-poly sculpting? I'm only familiar with low-poly, and I want to find a good start into sculpting. I'm thinking of making a rock as a first step. Would anybody recommend a tutorial or an objective?

You may try with official lessons. Look at Pixologic website. "Helmet Design" and "Environments With Tate Mosesian" this is a great and detailed lessons.

Hello,
I'm reworking uniforms of Twilight of the sun King. I find it is not too bad, the only problem is the normalmap.
p3d doesn't render transparency (in white).

1700 French (View in 3D)

Some WiP's of a helmet I'm making.
The eagle will need some more cleaning for a better bake.
Nearly done with the crest, fibermesh is quite cool, when you get used to it.
Learned a lot during this.
No textures yet, only some maps and materials.
Mental ray (the first one), Vray (the other two).
