Official 3D art thread - Warband

Users who are viewing this thread

I am noob at modding, however I am quite familiar with openBRF, after some time I did manage to find out what means what in this program with lots of trials and errors. I just started using blender, got it 3 days ago, and after searching the internet for some 3d game models I implemented some of them in my game, and everything works perfectly. Check it out:

Still there is a lot for me to learn, to be able to use every 3d model out there.

Anyone help? please?

We have several problems that impact performance - for slow PCs and large battles, as they are similar problems.
1)  Too many polygons
2)  no LODs have been made by OpenBRF and added to the resource
3)  the armors are often Mount&Blade models and NOT Warband models, so as I am told there is a missing alpha shader value that makes some armors glow in green when users set some HDR modes in their own video options settings for Warband.
1) I already know
2) I only need to click the "compute LOD" in open BRF, right?
3) I don't have idea.. can someone describes an information about this?

I've recently got into making 3D stuff for Warband. These are my first finished projects:

Constructive criticism is welcome.

Love the details, Alpha! You really got the patience for it, which is a very important trait for any creative.

Looks good to me, were you following any references? Should show wireframe and poly amount. Those are pretty key.

I checked a bunch of similar weapons for inspiration, but I didn't want to copy any of them. Here they are with wireframe:

Poly amounts are 430 and 386.

This model isn't appropriate for medieval game  but I wanted to share for feedback. I modeled a Double Barrel Shotgun. I am thinking create a scene for this weapon.
