North American server may be down temporarily

Cheers, all -- MarkMods is migrating the game to a faster server. This will hopefully lead to better performance, but will probably mean they will be down for 12 hours or so. This will affect one North American and one European server. I'm not sure exactly when this will happen.

Just tried out what  I think was supposed to be the new NA servers, but my character was not downloading properly (did not recognize my faction and unlocks, and no gold downloaded) and a newbie was unable to see his login key even after rejoining. Mod was pretty easy to sell (I mentioned command your own army and naval battles).

It is either that or the server I played in has not been updated.

I think I've worked out what might be happening -- the IP address changed slightly, so that server is not recognized as "official." I think I've fixed it, but can't test because I'm away from my gaming computer.
