Erasing an entire mesh is easy: select parts of the mesh at eact corner, and click expand selection a few times. Then delete it. You can't reset a mesh, that I know of.

Oops, I see my post was superfluous 
I can't find the "quick scene chooser" code anymore on the forums I used.
It added a new option when you started a new game to go through a list of all scenes which you could then enter.
The only one I find now is this old one which doesn't work properly with warband:

Hmmm. Might be possible that Arch3r made the original scene on a river map. Is there no way of deleting it afterwards?

You could try putting it into this: http://mbcommands.ollclan.eu/terrain/ And click "place river" to get rid of the river on the scene. Might not work but it's worth a try.
