Mod Information

(:) Dvd (:)

Regular
This should be the uniform Mod topic System:

(Type, Version) Title

There are 4 types:

WIP: Work in Progress
REL: Release
QSN: Question
TST: Test

Version signifies what version the mod is of, ie; .13.
The title is obviously the title of the mod.

Here is an example of the system in action:

(REL, 1.02) Bandit Faction

See how useful that is? It tells you that it is no longer a work in progress, that it actually has a download link, and that it is about a Bandit Faction.

So, can we all just be friends and use this system? No? Alright.

That one good idea!

Thanks! I got the idea from the Elder Scrolls (Morrowind, Oblivion, Arena, Daggerfall, ect) Forums.

Well said. That would make it much easier to sort through mods.

It also makes it much easier to find mods that can be downloaded.
A bit more about each type:

WIP: This signifies that there is no download link available.
REL: This signifies that there is a download link available, it does not however mean it is the finished version of a mod.
QSN: This signifies that it is a question, either about a mod or about modding.
TST: This signifies that it is a test, either downloadable or non-downloadable.

You could probably mix-&-match the types, ie:
(REL-TST, 0.01) Gun.

That means it is a RELEASE of a TEST, version 0.01, and it has something to do with guns.

Do both. This is a great idea. Thanks dvd.

Thanks! And, just to let you know, my name is spelled "Dvd". Not dvd.

or you could just look on this link...

However, what if a mod just got released and that has not be updated yet? Or a new version just released and that has not been updated yet?

Or a mod gone from WIP to REL? We can use both, ya know.
