I was mostly saying for a sort of Scythian/Hunnic inspiration, which some of the swords certainly did have a small curve feel to them.

I love the idea of the Khergits with a Scythian look but unfortunately I think there are no nice OSP packs with these kind of items that I can use.

Large bag of suggestions:


I've completely destroyed 50 advanced men norse army with my 40 town recruit imperial soldiers. Why?

- buff norse troops and nerf calradic troops

Some players just hate the new spear animation. I'm one of them.

- add an optional actions.txt file with new spear thrusting aimation removed

'Drive the cattle onward' option is Native one stupid mechanism which makes cattle party run in random direction instead of following the player.

- replace old 'Drive the cattle onward' option in module_game_menus with this one to make cattle follow the player instead of running:

Tournaments are too easy to win.

- increase arena warriors proficiencies and attributes & let the player do higher bets in exchange

I was really disappointed after spending 4 points in power draw when I saw that most of the bows cannot be used on horseback. Why?

- let the player use all bows on horseback (except war bow and long bow)


The climate of old Calradia is too weak. The world itself is new and expanded but the scripts are mostly the same.


Quests:

- expand or alter Native quests
- think about adding some special quests
- add some kind of storyline? (the fall of Great Calradian Empire?)



Music and sounds:

- add more epic dark ages music
- every faction should use their own music themes when visiting towns, villages, etc (there are many free-to-use tracks on different sites)



General scripting:

- shield bash? decapitation? weapon breaking? Viking Conequest module system is thing you need to check
- flip the coin with tavernkeeper minigame?
- let the player gamble with tavern guests
- adjust the lords party size to at least 70 men and kings to at least 150 men
- advanced siege system?
- decrease agents movement speed in tavern and lord's hall by 50%
- make player wear civilian outfit on feasts?
- add overhead spear thrust animation
- fix multiple goods meshes (I've noticed that iron and wheat have new mesh plus Native mesh combined which looks really weird ingame)


Let me know what do you think about this suggestions. This mod has great potential that cannot be wasted.
 
Thank you very much for the extensive suggestions, @Masterancza! I think you are true with most of them and I will take them into account for the next version, which is being delayed because of some other projects and the college work. I just can't promise the new quests stuff because I'm not really good at scripting and making new quests are a hard task as far as I know.

Thanks for your feedback!

I think that fixing an existing things should be priority rather than adding new features! You should focus on various bugs first, ofc when time will let you to do so :wink:
Some bugs were also posted by me in report thread, these should be checked before thinking about some of this suggestions.
I wish you good luck and time do do what you love, even if modding isn't that thing :mrgreen:

I don't want to sound like whiner, which I probably will anyway, but... could there be more smaller looter parties? Say, 6-8 people with the odd outlaw and highwayman thrown in for extra exp. As it is now, I can take just about every single one of them mano-a-mano but a party of 16 is simply too many of them early on.  :dead:

Also, and I appreciate that I have no clue how workable this is technically, could you do it so that only thrust does extra damage to horses on a polearm? I doubt that a dude swinging his spear like a baseball bat would do much good against a charging horse.

 
So I know this is an old thread but it's a suggestion thread so I thought this would be a apt location to put this suggestion.

My suggestion:
All spears/lances should only do thrust melee attacks. The shortened spear and boar spear do swing motions, which can be frustrating as they are pointless attacks  and the whole "mouse control" thing can be finicky.
 
LBCE suggestions? Make BL in WB!

Fo real tho, 'drive the cattle onward' doesn't send them running in a random direction, you have to move behind them, similar to the way driving cattle works in Red Dead Redemption (the first one, don't know about the second as I haven't played it yet). Also, you know, the way driving cattle worked in real life.
