Judging by TW being completely absent from the forums for months, and no substantial updates since, yeah id say its really dead.

I try to be level headed and calm but it is concerning, most noticeable to me is the disappearance of the beta branch for many months with no communication as to why, when the game has always had betas.

My guess: The beta branch wasn't being utilized they way they expected, so they dropped it. It should be used to test and report bugs. Instead the loudest voices were just complaining that their mods don't work with the new branch. I would have stopped the beta branch too.

I dunno why people are surpised. After when the game is out of early access, that's the game, its a finished product. Updates are only going to be fixes. The game is no longer in development, this is it.

Depends what you consider dead there are plenty of mods like Persistent Bannerlord, Bannerlord Online or just the native competitive scene that is thriving. The current ongoing competitive native tournament has 52 teams signed up (all of which are 8+ players).
