IS this a module or a new game?

Is Napoleonic War going to be a module for warband? Or will it be a stand-alone game like WFaS?

Kind of. It will be a standalone, like WFAS, but it will be based off Warband (it runs the Warband engine, and you will need Warband to run this) unlike WFAS which can run on its own.

I don't really know how it's going to work, whether it will show up in the modules list in Warband or if it will be a separate entity. Could one of the devs enlighten us?

I have read that you will need warband to play, and that it will have it's own launcher in which you can play original warband from, but not the other way around.

EDIT:

It's based on Warband, but with some WFaS features added, as well as quite a few new features. The DLC will have a special exe that can also run normal Warband just as before. But you cannot run the DLC with the normal Warband exe or the WFaS exe as they both lack a lot of the necessary features.

And

It's a DLC for Warband, so it will require Warband.

Nope. Non STEAM M&B Users must get Non STEAM NW DLC. Thats why they give you the choice of the 2. Non steam from www.gamersgate.com and steam version from steam of course.
