I can't believe how stupid the AI is.

So, we're at war with Aserai. I'm leading the assault on their lands, sieging a couple of castles near Husn Fulq and then the city itself. I'm looking at my 3 other armies and they're heading towards Razih. So far so good. Then a revolt happens in Sibir which is on the other end of the map and all of my 3 armies decide to go to Sibir to take it back, completely ignoring the war with Aserai.
Why? Like, ok Sibir revolt is a nuisance but it's not a threat to us, it's not going to spread to other cities or they're not going to start raiding our villages, it's not a thing in the game. Besides, one of our armies can easily go and take the city back alone, why all 3 of them going there, totaling 3000+ men?

Later, after taking back Sibir, while my armies are traveling back to south, Vlandians declare war on us. I decide to make peace with Aserai to focus on Vlandians so I pay them tribute (I was winning the war but whatever I guess). I was halfway through the map when Khuzaits also declared war. Khuzaits at this point have couple of castles left and we have 4 armies, so I continued to Vlandian front to defend our homeland hoping that 1 or 2 of our armies will take care of Khuzaits. I set war strategy as aggressive against Khuzaits and balanced against Vlandians.
But alas, other 3 armies just completely ignore the war with Khuzaits and decide to lay siege to Thractorea Castle instead which had like 200 men defending it but nevertheless my armies think all of their 3000 men is needed for the siege. After a couple of in game weeks, Khuzaits manage to take over Baltakhand and Makeb from us without any opposition.

So my question is, how is it possible to **** up the basic premise of the game so badly? The AI do things without any thinking, strategy or narrative behind it, it's so random and almost always meaningless. This behavior must be a bug or WIP and not an intended feature of a finished game. At least give us the ability to give basic goals to armies once we're head of a faction. The game is totally unplayable after a certain point while u guys added birth and death options to the game. What a joke.

In general some distance calculations are in order across the game.

Lords and armies should have prioritization of closer over distant goals.

I basically should never see an army of 2k meander past an army of 1k sieging down their faction's town or castle for the sake of sieging some distant target that they'll probably fail to take anyway.

Quest generation could have some distance limits as well.

The distance should also consider the actual path, not a bird's eye path that ignores mountains and water and so on.

Escort Merchant Caravan is a good example of the game not considering map layout and distance enough - sometimes it sends you deep into Aserai or Sturgia. So are Conspiracy quests that are brutally RNG and can send you to opposite ends of the map while you're busy at war with multiple factions on your end.

Nope, not that.
All 3 armies were around the southern part of the map, closer to Danustica than to Sibir. It took them a while to get there. Not using any mods that modifies AI behavior btw. As for Vlandia vs Khuzait situation, yes they were closer to Vlandian lands.

I think the AI is very good, it just needs some minor improvements. It´s an indie game, only full released, have patience.

you're joking right? 11 years in development, 2.5 years in EA, 60 bucks price tag, and you say its an indie release and have patience? Youre joking I'm pretty sure.
