SP Tutorial World Map How to make Campaign Maps

Users who are viewing this thread

I have a question, what about for locations that aren't real or have no map. We still have to make those by hand and how would we go along doing that? Do you think you could post a tutorial on how to make maps that are not real? Sorry if this was already posted, I only read the first page.

i apologise if this has already been covered, but i am using someone else's map and am not sure how to move the red borders (there is also a yellow border?), how do i do this?

Many thanks.

Maybe it's too big. Been there, done that. Tried to make a full map of the world.

It's been a while since I modded M&B, so I don't really remember what the notepad is called, but in your Mod folder there's a notepad file, the same one you use to add weapons into the game after adding their Res and Tex. Modify the numbers of X and Y, or something like that.

And sorry for my long absence guys, lost interest in M&B.

Make sure it is saved as RGB(1) and in 24 bits(2)

in gimp go to this menu: Image/Mode and click RGB

save it as bmp hit advanced in the menu that pop ups and select the 24 bits radio button
Hey guys! I'm back. Now I can tend to these problems.

1. You probably forgot to import your colour map (for your terrain and stuff).
2. If you're talking about the sharp mountains, you should probably blur them down in your image editing program (GIMP, Photoshop, MS Paint (hopefully not ), etc)

Edit: Btw, is that the Aegean Sea?

how do i move villages?

You can't in the Editor unless you edit your map in a M&B version before 1.010 (Vanilla), then transfer the map.txt and parties.txt (you'll also have to transfer the parties.txt over to your Vanilla file so that WB villages and towns don't disappear). Otherwise, you'll have to manually it with module_parties.py.

What's the mod called? Oh, and no problem, it was a pleasure to help.

Also, where do you get your maps? I can't find any with lakes and rivers.

Uh... Sorry, I can't understand what you're saying, but I'll give it a shot.

My guess is that nothing happens, right? How big is the image?
