How to get the Shield Of Fate from the Fairy

You basically need to kill Pirate Kings, not Captains, Kings. You need to obtain their iron shield, it does not matter what quality and once you obtain this shield equip it and click on the nearest bridge by Zenthar. A sound effect shall play and the chat with the Fairy will begin.

You can also get an iron shield as loot from forest bandit captains, also (rarely) as a reward for tournament victories.
