1. I have gotten the "train 6 troops to x tier" from a Rhodok lord. He asked me to raise 6 skirmishers, however the troop tree goes as follows:

tibresman-->archer-->trained archer-->noble

What am I missing?

2. Why are all the Rhodok lord wearing rags/poor clothing?

The skirmishers are in the tribesman/spearman tree.  I think the Rhodok tree is a little messed up in how the nobles fit in as well as their armor.

So I should upgrade them to spearmean first?

Then the next 2 options from spearmen are either back to archer or trained spearmen

Yep.  The order is tribesman/spearman/trained spearman/veteran spearman/skirmisher.

That's from the troop tree generator BTW, I've never actually raised a skirmisher myself.

edit: I know what you're thinking, skirmishers are usually in the archer tree but not here for some reason. That's why I say that it's a little messed up. If you look at the troop tree report, there are other problems too.

Alright thanks for all the info. And yes, it seems odd that skirmishers are at the end of the infantry troop tree since I am guessing that should be the elite of Rhodok infantry. A skirmisher by definition is alight armored fast troop that carries mostly ranged weapons with the purpose of harassing the enemy formations.

It's a utility that generates a report from the troops.txt file in readable format, very helpful. I think you can search for it in mbrepository.

Cool thanks a lot for your help.

One more thing, the spearmen, who should be the melee troops (infantry) are all actually archers, as in they line up with the archers. The other troop tree branch is the archers themselves, which end up as noblemen which are mounted. But before noblemen they are archers. So Rhodoks have no infantry? :S
