Help getting this optimized for my computer

I really want to play this mod, and in the past I have, but only in short bursts. It lags greatly on the overworld, especially when speeding up. Is there anything I can do to increase performance so I can play through this again? I've been wanting to play it for awhile now, and I've recently just completed a game of Pendor and am still waiting for an update on another mod, so I'd like to tackle Perisno again.

You're running .772/.773, which had anti-lag tuning capability added, or just .77 which had no anti lag tuning?
Probably the first question is WHICH version you have.

    (file date changed today as I changed rights from "any with link can edit" to "view only", and then set this to the entire directory)

but the last version Michadr accepted was called ".772" which shows some edit at Feb 15 2016

  Sometime after this the current Perisno team focused only on "0.8" and you have seen their progress reports in another thread.
Pretty much .77-anything is without further upgrades/fixes/changes planned.
