Hey just noticed this, I enlisted with the Vaegir (spelling?) and was given a village as a fief. When I went to recruit from it, they weren’t Vaegir anymore but had switched to my origin faction. So my question is, how do I stop this, I really wanted to conquer the map as them.
 
For some reason I was thinking you got a choice whether or not to convert them. Apparently I was mistaken. I'd also like the option, at least, to decide whether a village converts to my origin.

I don't know how hard that would be to toggle, since you'd have to run it in the town, village, and castle menus.  The village menu would obviously be the Village Elder as a checkpoint.  The Town and Castle menu would probably be best as something the Constable did, but what about when you don't have a constable?  Defaults to your culture, I suppose.  That would give you incentive to sign on to the "Minor Nobility Full Employment Program". 

I would like this feature because long after the Khergit's are no longer operating autonomously, I want to be staffing my patrols with Khergit Horse Archers. (That's part of my Horse Bandit Full Employment Program.) 
 
You're giving such a great public service, Daedelus. It's nice to see you care about the people.

Now, mind you, I don't mind conquering a nation like, say, the Sarranid and converting them to my way of life (or they DIE!). But it's nice to have the option.
 
Do you know that if you have a constable and a castle or town you can just recruit huge quantities of troops from whatever faction you like? Up to 100 from each castle and 200 from each town.

I particularly enjoy the combination of marinian elite halberds and crossbows, villianese longbowman, antarian heavy infantry, and swadian knights :razz: that's good eating!
I went straght for the throat of the sarinids and I have as yet not recruited a single vlliager from a village. You can also get random faction peasants from the taverns now too.

Actually, the recruiter is going village to village on your behalf.  This is one key reason to not recruit in your own lands, and to "plow the road" by keeping bandits down so your recruiter can get back with the recruits.
 
I get a lot of random RGL errors and random freezes when entering new areas and occasionally mid-battle, I've updated to the beta and still no fix. Also, after updating to the beta, I get a constant stream of;

I've deleted most of the repeated errors, but other than that I hope this is what you were asking for. It's the second Warband mod i've ever used so i'm pretty new to all this.
 
No, I didn't. I've just made one now and tried it and no errors! Thanks for the extremely fast response. I shall now proceed to play this into the early hours of the morning, just from first impressions, one of the best mods out there. Keep it up mate, thanks again!
 
I am now getting a Warband is not responding error every 2 or 3 minutes while running on the map

I have recently encountered huge fps drops while besieging castles. I don't have a bad computer, my specs are in an RGL log further up this page. I have verified my steam files and made new saves etc. I run at about 200fps in Tournaments/small battles and around 70 in castle sieges on max settings on Vanilla Warband. I run on exactly the same in SOD Warlords but random lag spikes every 2-3 seconds until it completely freezes up and Warband crashes. Any ideas? I'm about to test Warband tamer to see if that does anything, I'll make an edit if it does.

You should limit your FPS to 60 so your GPU won't have to over work itself. What size is your battle sizer on? is it above 150?
