Too little, and players fail to grasp a game mechanic or are forced into making uninformed decisions. Too much, and the information becomes overbearing or confusing. And it isn’t just the volume of information that needs to be taken into consideration. A good user interface (UI) should convey information to players quickly and clearly. It should be as non-invasive as possible, so that it doesn't get in the way of immersion, while still containing all of the information that the player needs, in a way that is functional, yet aesthetically pleasing. It has to be almost transparent, helping you in the experience without reminding you constantly that you are playing a game.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/79

Hey taleworld Guys ?
Do You have a quest writer in your team? We could learn something about his/her work

You should check out the archived blogs on TW's site, they released a blog where they talked with the quest writer.

im always expecting to see release date in these Q&A's no luck tho

I can't wait took see this forum collapse on itself when they do release a date.

There won't be any release date until They hit the wall of loosing all people interest in this game. Maybe then They will give some release date that They won't keep. Right now i must praise them for keeping up all this hype about their game while giving nothing to all these people that wait for the release. Looking at what they showed at Gamescom this game should be in early access right now if they really intend to do EA.

Quite presumptuous

Realistic and out of experience rather then presumptuous. I saw too much of this kind of approach to developing a game. Most of it was some start up that ended with nothing and that's reason enough to have low opinion on studio as big as Taleworlds using approach of some self proclaimed developer from Kickstarter.

I know...sigh. This game would have been released already (with bugs, of course; which would have been fixed), if it wasn't for the Turkish government stepping in and providing them with subsidies. This allows them to work as slow as they want.

I'm really glad though because last years Gamescom had a very cartoonish feel to it. With the rework of lighting, the world map, and the UI, the whole game feels more serious now, and looks way better. Hopefully we get an EA soon, or at least a demo similar to gamescom to keep us interested.

I keep clicking the policies tab in that image... I really want to see what is in there.
It's probably just a kingdom's laws, so it would be stuff like how centralised a kingdom is and so on. There might be more, like how militarised the kingdom is or certain laws that must be upheld within that faction.

I am glad to read that there are multiple types of governments, I plan to bury Calradia in bureaucratic paperwork!

For real, even though this probably won't be in the base game, the fact that it is a mechanic that's supported in the game makes me very excited to see what the modders will create.
Bureaucratic paperwork might well be something we will see in Bannerlord.

Oh god please no. If you actually do this, please do spare the Empire, they're still at war over this. Actually, some people still had flash backs when they recall the the ol' system, the one that shan't be named and which has melted no fewer than a 'thousand of a thousand' minds. In fact, rumour has it that the Swadians' unusual habit to feast uncontrollably and at the most inopportune of times is a leftover of an old bureaucratic policy which has worsened to the point of no return.
