Too little, and players fail to grasp a game mechanic or are forced into making uninformed decisions. Too much, and the information becomes overbearing or confusing. And it isn’t just the volume of information that needs to be taken into consideration. A good user interface (UI) should convey information to players quickly and clearly. It should be as non-invasive as possible, so that it doesn't get in the way of immersion, while still containing all of the information that the player needs, in a way that is functional, yet aesthetically pleasing. It has to be almost transparent, helping you in the experience without reminding you constantly that you are playing a game.</p></br> [/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/79

This was actually for some reason a really interesting dev blog that gave us lots of info and a current stage of the game.
Though I hope they learn their lessons and won't push social justice though I highly doubt that after the Rome 2 controversy.

Wrong place dude this is Taleworlds forums not Total War forums.

Total War is developed by a different company Creative Assembly.

Taleworlds is the developer of Mount and Blade games.

Rome 2 was a Total war game.

They said they will put more female characters in so I just hope they aren't going full SJW though I really doubt that just an example of what happens: they don't want 25% negative reviews because of that.

are you talking about bannerlord or total war rome ? i dont follow total war game but the way you talk seems like you mean for total war game, because even since warband, we can play woman and there also sword sister, seems weird talking about sjw.

and also as khergitlancer mention this is different game company that have no relation with total war game.

Also worth of note is that it is quite likely someone in the community will create a WYSIWYG editor to create the UI, which would be a big help for non-coders and new modders, in case there isnt one in the tools package.

Fingers crossed - WYSIWYG would be great for all modders.

Yep. No matter your experience level, the idea of trying to edit a UI solely through code is a massive pain in the ass.

Cool, more UI and more info.
Looking more like Clan Leaders are the only ones that own Land, with the rest of the Clan just being parties that follow the Leader's orders. That's a very neat feature - more political layers.

I have a concern, though, with the images presented: the "Wireframe"/placeholder image conveys the "Fiefs Owned" info far better than the current one. The "stacked cards" on the current one requires me to do two things
1) Identify what each card represents, which is made harder by the fact the non-top cards are 80% obscured and they're all sort of "foggy structures."
2) Count each of the cards
What it does better is it quickly "summarizes" how many more "lands" a Clan owns versus the other Clans (compare width!) but owning 2 Towns is presumably much better than owning 1 castle and 4 villages, so that info is only part of the question, and IMO worth less than easy display of individual Fief-types owned.

Strongly reconsider changing the "Fiefs Owned" column to be more like how it was in the Placeholder, with the cards presented by each other with the numbers at the bottom right of them. You don't need columns for each Town/Village/Castle, I think.

Something roughly like this, on the top line.

Although I'd order it to be Town/Castle/Village, rather than what I suspect I have at Castle/Village/Town (Although determining Village vs Town is hard - maybe Village should have a field of some kind?)The purple on top is also a bit hard to read and looks bad. It could just as easily be below the pictures or something.

The point is, please put a number, not a stack of cards we have to identify and count.
Edit: Oh, and the same thing applies to the Members of a Clan - spread their "cards" out, so they're all fully visible at the same time. I assume right now I have to scroll my mouse over each Card to see what Lord it actually belongs to, then click it. Not at all acceptable, IMO.

Fantastic suggestions. I agree with most of your points.
It would be clear how many towns/castles/villages each clan have if the UI change to the style you have shown.
An animation of displaying detailed information when you put the mouse on it definitely have been taken into consideration since TW is a perfectionism company.

1. But, haven't you noticed some subtle differences between towns/castles/villages pictures?
They have differences pictures to show towns even though they are all towns.

I just wonder whether TW wants to show FEATURES that a town has.
For example:
https:///i.imgtc.com/Gvwi8P0.png    (delete one backslash)
  is it a harbor castle?
https:///i.imgtc.com/0pRfVTU.png    (delete one backslash)
is it a castle built on a mountain?
I think it is possible because, in Bannerlord, the location of a town/castle is more important than it is in Warband.

2. Shown info is a little bit unbalanced in the following two pictures:
https:///i.imgtc.com/Z7deypc.png    (delete one backslash)
The left is fief's info. The right is characters
https:///i.imgtc.com/Gms70wi.png    (delete one backslash)
The left shows all info, while the right includes only "expel" and "support"
Will it be more reasonable if it looks like this?
https:///i.imgtc.com/fwLfzmH.png    (delete one backslash)
(Never mind the details)
The left shows the number of towns/castle/villages and portraits of family members, while the right shows more detailed things with thorough pictures/words.

How do you think about it, guys?

Hey taleworld Guys ?
Do You have a quest writer in your team? We could learn something about his/her work

We did a Q&A with our writer Steve at the beginning of this year. You can check it out here:

Callum will we always start to game with a mount just like in WB or will we get one only under specific background builds ?

why not just use Chromium Embedded Framework as the UI renderer? It got everything from great DOM renderer, CSS3, and even access to Javascript

I wonder what "Support" and "Exile" actually do? I would presume "Exile" doesn't actually mean that you can kick them out.
At the moment I think that Support and Exile are used to alter the influence of another clan, so supporting a clan gives them influence and exiling them takes it away. I'm guessing it costs influence to do this and there is probably a cooldown or something.
I'm also quite interested to see what Policies actually detail.

Yeah, I like your last image. The right side of the screen being a giant mass of empty space besides the clan Banner and expel/support seems like a waste, and listing the actual names of the places (and if their icons do indeed differ based on features) is good info.

Your English is good, by the way.

Like... in Victoria II?

TL;DR for anyone who doesn't know that game:
It's a paradox grand strategy game about the victorian era. You take control of a nation from 1836 to 1936. The feature I'm referring to is the ability of Great Powers to use their built-up influence in a country to discredit/ban/expel the targeted nation's ambassadors, lowering, clearing or maybe even halting their influence.

I wonder if the different pics actually show the culture of a village instead of its location.

why would wouldn't there be female warriors? there were always cultures with women warriors. Shieldmaiden in Norway or these Cossack Women here

I cracked it, the only reason we aren't seeing any early access is because of how easy it is to mod the game, already there are several modded copies of warband being sold as full games on steam , if they release the game now, it would be all over the place and they won't have the time or resources to pull down all the copies that would be made, especially the "cough""cough " chinese who release most of these and have lax copyright laws  .... That said we'll have to wait for a fully developed game in 2019
