Custom Battle

So, I want to play a custoum battle, shield wall to shield wall.

However, every time I start a new battle, I find myself on board a ship, not on the battle field I selected.

How can I play a normal battle?

They haven't done much with custom battle. You could go into multiplayer mode and host your own server with bots on each side. I've done that and it's a lot of fun, basically like custom battle except it doesn't end when you die.

If "they" haven't done much with custom battles, why am I on a ship?

Besides, I want to play cb's to learn the concept op field battles in Brytenwalda, i.e. fighting in a Shieldwall.

sooo... do what the guy said and host an online battle yourself with bots either side...
